The Role

As a Mobile Application Engineer within the Monitor team's Trade & Transact team, you will help shape and deliver the digital investing experiences that enable Vanguard clients to transact, fund accounts, manage payments, and complete key investment journeys across mobile platforms.

In this role you will

· Build and enhance Vanguard's mobile investing experiences using React Native, Kotlin, and Android technologies

· Deliver high-quality, tested code and support features through the full software development lifecycle

· Collaborate with product, design, backend, and engineering teams to deliver client-focused solutions

· Contribute to technical design, code reviews, and engineering best practices

· Troubleshoot complex issues and help maintain reliable, secure, and scalable applications

· Support and mentor other engineers while contributing to a culture of continuous improvement

What it takes

· Strong experience developing mobile applications using Kotlin, Android, and React Native

· Solid understanding of modern mobile architecture, including modularisation, dependency injection (Hilt), networking, testing, and CI/CD practices

· Ability to design and deliver scalable, maintainable solutions while collaborating effectively with product, design, and engineering partners

· A passion for engineering quality, continuous improvement, and helping raise technical standards across the team

Desirable skills: Experience with Jetpack Compose, platform engineering, developer tooling, and large-scale mobile applications

• This is a hybrid position and would require you to work in the office 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday)
