Application Engineer (Software)

We are looking for a motivated and innovative Application Engineer (Software) to join our Inductive Position Sensing Product Line.
In this role, you will contribute to the development of software applications, simulation workflows, and cloud-based deployment solutions that support industrial and automotive sensing applications.

Working closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing teams, you will contribute to software development, prototype creation, cloud-based solutions, and technical documentation while building expertise in advanced sensing technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software for web-based applications.
• Support the planning, design, and implementation of innovative software solutions.
• Develop, document, and maintain clean, scalable, and efficient code.
• Create and manage complex PCB geometries for simulation and modeling workflows.
• Integrate software solutions into AWS cloud environments and support deployment activities.
• Generate reference prototypes using Gerber file formats.
• Maintain, test, and optimize existing codebases to ensure reliability, performance, and quality.
• Produce clear and comprehensive technical documentation to support development and customer requirements.

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant software development, application engineering, or related engineering experience.
• Programming experience in C, C++, Python, and ideally Fortran.
• Experience with software debugging, troubleshooting, and code optimization.
• Basic understanding of AWS cloud services.
• Experience with Docker and containerized applications.
• Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
• Knowledge of PCB design processes and Gerber file formats is an advantage
• Fluent in written and spoken English
