Job Description & Summary

Do you enjoy designing and building integrations that connect core enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, Workday and SAP? Are you motivated by creating reliable APIs, event-driven interfaces and data flows in a complex application landscape?

At PwC Netherlands, we are looking for an Application Integration Engineer to join our internal integration team. In this role, you will develop and maintain integration solutions that support PwC NL’s own business processes and applications. Your work will directly support critical business processes across HR, finance, customer and operational systems by ensuring applications, APIs and data flows are reliably connected. You will work on both new initiatives and existing global platforms, using modern integration technologies such as Azure Integration Services, while also operating in a broader enterprise integration landscape.

This is what you'll do

You'll be part of an inclusive team working on meaningful integration projects where your expertise counts. You'll use leading technology, including AI tools, and benefit from knowledge sharing and coaching so you keep growing while we make an impact together.

As an Application Integration Engineer, you'll develop, maintain and create application integration solutions based on the latest integration technologies. You will design and build APIs and interfaces based on business requirements, implement integrations between core enterprise applications, and ensure solutions are reliable, scalable and well documented.

In this role, you will be involved in:

  • developing, maintaining and creating integrations between applications such as Salesforce and Workday;
  • developing interfaces and services (REST, Open API, event-driven) based on business requirements;
  • implementing API integrations using an API Management platform and creating data models (JSON schemas);
  • troubleshooting and debugging integration issues across the landscape;
  • creating and maintaining technical documentation.

You recognize yourself in this

You take ownership of your work, communicate clearly and enjoy collaborating with team members and stakeholders to deliver reliable solutions. You stay curious about new integration technologies and like translating business needs into solid technical designs.

In addition, you recognize yourself in the following profile:

  • you have at least 3 years of relevant experience as an integration specialist, integration engineer or similar role;
  • you have experience with Azure Integration Services,
  • you have experience with messaging systems such as Azure Service Bus or JMS;
  • you have experience with protocols (HTTP, SFTP, REST, SOAP) and data formats (XML, JSON, relational and non-relational databases, SQL);
  • you have experience with GIT or similar version control, CI/CD, Splunk and monitoring tools, and you are familiar with integration design patterns;
  • you are fluent in English, both spoken and written.

Nice to have:

  • experience working in an Agile/SAFe environment, certifications are a plus;
  • a certificate in Python programming, or motivation to obtain one;
  • knowledge of API Management;
  • knowledge of one or more of the following languages: C#, PowerShell, Java.
