About
Swan is Europe’s embedded banking specialist. We empower software companies to embed banking features like accounts, cards, and payments directly into their products, under their own brand.Swan processes over €2.5 billion in monthly transactions for more than 150 companies - like Pennylane, Indy, Agicap, Libeo, and Lucca.
Founded in 2019, the company has received growth capital from leading investors such as Lakestar, Accel, Creandum, Bpifrance and Eight Roads. Swan is a principal member of Mastercard and a licensed financial institution, regulated by the French banking authority (ACPR).
Our mission
Banking belongs in business software
Many software companies already serve small businesses incredibly well: helping them send invoices, run payroll, manage inventory, and more. They’re on a mission to become the central hub for managing every aspect of business life.
But when it comes to financial workflows, there’s still a gap. Too many critical tasks like managing cash flow, tracking payments, or reconciling accounts happen outside the software, across spreadsheets, email threads, banking portals.
It’s a missed opportunity. Business software shouldn’t just record financial activity — it should run it.

Job description
As an Application Owner, you will own one or more complex applications used by internal users. You will act as the internal expert for your applications, understand how they support operational workflows, and ensure that they evolve in line with user needs and Swan's strategic objectives.
✨ Your mission
Your primary mission is to own applications end to end, from discovery through implementation, ongoing improvement, and vendor management. You will combine strong execution, analytical decision-making, stakeholder management, and application expertise to make your internal users more efficient, scalable, and reliable.
✨ Main tasks
Own applications end to end: manage configuration, access, integrations, documentation, costs, providers, and operational performance.
Improve tooling and workflows: optimise application usage, identify improvements, evaluate alternatives, and lead implementation or migration decisions.
Lead cross-functional projects: manage priorities, dependencies, risks, timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communication from planning through execution.
Drive operational improvements: improve processes and execution while balancing quality, scalability, speed, cost, and risk.
Use data to guide decisions: define relevant KPIs, analyse performance, measure impact, and recommend priorities based on evidence.
Manage stakeholders and change: align internal teams, manage high-stakes relationships, communicate clearly, and secure adoption across Operations.
Preferred experience
✨ You’re a great match if:
You Have owned or administered operational tools, workflow platforms, automation tools, case-management systems, or other business-critical applications.
You have led cross-functional projects involving operational users and technical or external stakeholders.
You can translate user needs and operational problems into clear requirements, configurations, process improvements, or implementation plans.
You use data and operational metrics to evaluate problems, prioritise work, and measure the impact of improvements.
You are comfortable working with external providers on feature requests, service issues, QBRs, pricing, renewals, or contracts.
You are comfortable working in a regulated, technical, or operationally complex environment. Experience in fintech, banking, payments, or a similar environment is a plus.
Our ideal teammate: Empathetic. Skilled. Frank. We love to challenge each other, and we leave our egos at the door.
It’s okay if you don’t tick all the boxes - don’t let imposter syndrome prevent you from applying! 🙌
