APPLICATION PRODUCTION SUPPORT
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for a Senior Application Support Engineer with strong experience in application production support, infrastructure environments, and operational maintenance. In this role, you will ensure the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of business-critical applications, providing both technical and functional support while contributing to service quality, automation, and operational excellence.

What You Will Do on a Daily Basis

• Provide technical and functional support to users and stakeholders, ensuring high service availability.

• Monitor and supervise application environments, guaranteeing the proper execution of processes, workflows, transfers, and batch operations.

• Manage and coordinate application releases, deployments, and technical integrations.

• Analyse incidents, identify root causes, implement preventive measures, and improve service reliability through automation and scripting.

• Maintain and enrich technical documentation, operating procedures, and knowledge repositories.

• Collaborate with business teams to understand workflows, requirements, and IT needs.

• Contribute to continuous service improvement by analysing application performance and user experience.

• Support functional change requests and ensure compliance with operational processes and remediation plans.

• Share knowledge with team members through documentation, training, and collaboration.

• Provide on-call and operational support during weekends and holidays on a rotational basis.

Your Key Skills

• Strong experience in Application Production Support and IT Operations environments.

• Knowledge of scripting languages and automation practices.

• Solid understanding of Windows, Linux, and networking environments.

• Experience with Oracle SQL (mandatory).

• Knowledge of Ansible and DevOps practices.

• Understanding of release management, monitoring, incident management, and system integration.

• Ability to analyse data, identify systemic issues, and drive service improvements.

• ITIL knowledge is considered an advantage.

Your Main Qualifications

• 11+ years of professional experience in application support, production support, or related IT operations roles.

• Proven experience supporting business-critical applications within complex environments.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to work autonomously while maintaining effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.

• Experience in documentation, process improvement, and automation initiatives.

• Availability to work in a hybrid model (50% office / 50% remote).

• Availability to work on weekends and public holidays on a rotational basis.

• Mandatory availability to work on-site in Lisbon when required.

• Advanced level of English (written and spoken).
