Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will support the Sales organization and customers throughout the sales process by adapting ABB products to customer applications and ensuring alignment with their technical requirements and specifications. You will be responsible for selecting the most suitable products and technologies while acting as a key technical resource within your assigned area.

The work model for this role is:

This position contributes to the Motion Business Area - Drives Division and supports the Italian market, with a focus on OEM customers operating in segments such as Data Centers, HVAC, Water & Wastewater, Plastics, Metals, Food & Beverage, and others.
You will work closely with key stakeholders, including Sales and Product Management teams.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Perform on-site commissioning activities for Drives at customer locations.
• Develop and implement customized solutions, product packages, and software applications.
• Understand customer needs and effectively demonstrate how ABB solutions address their requirements.
• Coordinate product demonstrations and technical presentations to showcase the value of ABB offerings.
• Support the preparation of technical and commercial proposals and assist in contract negotiations.
• Provide technical support to customers and collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful project execution.

Qualifications for the role

• Degree in Engineering (Automation, Electrical Engineering, or related fields).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the automation sector.
• Experience with AC drives and motor systems; knowledge of PLCs is considered a strong advantage. Familiarity with CODESYS programming language is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and customer-facing capabilities, with a hands-on approach to commissioning and technical support.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites and ABB factories when required.
• Fluent English, with the ability to collaborate effectively with international teams, particularly with colleagues based in Finland.

Compensation Package

Applicable CBA: CCNL Metalmeccanico

Minimum annual salary: €39.000

Variable Pay: Eligible for Company Productivity Bonus
