Application Specialist Finance

What will you do?

As an Application Specialist Finance, you will support and enhance finance-related applications, ensuring they remain stable, reliable, and aligned with business needs. Working closely with business and IT teams, you will contribute to application improvements and the delivery of high-quality services.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Support and maintain finance-related applications and services.

• Ensure application stability, reliability, and business alignment.

• Implement new functionalities and continuous improvements.

• Collaborate with Product Owners, Finance stakeholders, Business Analysts, Developers, and IT Operations teams.

• Support the delivery of high-quality application services across Porto and the Netherlands.

What do you need for this position?

• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional and intellectual level, preferably in Information Technology, Business Informatics, Finance, Economics or a related field.

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in an ICT organisation, application management role or project/change environment.

• Experience with application configuration, application management, functional analysis, operational support or business application support.

• Knowledge of requirements management, gap analysis and impact assessment.

• Ability to translate business needs into structured requirements, application changes and clear documentation.

• Experience with Incident, Change and Problem Management processes.

• Experience working with Agile ways of working, such as Scrum, Kanban and/or SAFe.

• Professional working proficiency in English (minimum B2 level). Dutch is a plus but not required.

Nice to have

• Experience with finance-related applications, financial processes or regulated financial services environments.

• Practical experience with user access management, authorisations, release implementation, monitoring, testing and supplier management.

• Experience with SQL and Azure.

• Experience working in an international environment.
