GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

The Applications Administrator Level II administers the technology and workflows associated with the software applications used by at the least two lines of business applications. The lines of business supported by the bank are as follows: Retail, Deposits, Lending, Credit, Audit, Mortgage, Back Office, eBanking etc. They act as liaison with designated departments, application vendors, training and other support staff to ensure the highest level of service and availability in a fast-paced, constantly growing financial institution. The Applications Administrator Level II is responsible for customization requests, standardized user security and user security groups, application optimization, understanding and documenting the information and business needs and working with the IT department for the installation of approved upgrades and to maintain and support the application environment. The Application Administrator II is also required to have the capability to perform all functions of the Applications Administrator I. They are involved in designing new features and configurations for the system, as well as testing methodologies to evaluate the performance of the system. Mentor Applications Admin I to advance their knowledge and expertise.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Provides specialized technical expertise and user support necessary for day-to-day administration and maintenance of Retail, Lending, Enterprise and Deposit Operations applications.

2. Work with the Information Security department to implement and maintain standard security groups based on user job function.

3. Administer the security model based on functional responsibilities.

4. Proactively monitor applications, provide and advise on solutions that prevent or minimize employee and customer impact.

5. Build and maintain relationships with vendor support and other institutions using the same applications.

6. Provide production support including, but not limited to, workflow management, researching and resolving system related issues, including troubleshooting in a timely manner.

7. Regularly attend vendors' user conference and actively participate in user groups.

8. Successfully complete vendor provided training.

9. Work directly with functional departments to ensure system usage is efficient and understand business needs works with stakeholders to receive approval and implement changes.

10. Recommend system and process changes based on knowledge of application capabilities and business needs. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time.

11. Assist in the design, configuration, and modification of supported applications to suit organizational needs.

12. Complete work in a timely and accurate manner while providing exceptional customer service. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time.

13. Document and maintain all processes and procedures for assigned applications.

14. Act as backup for the computer operator as needed.

15. Support the daily performance of the assigned applications.

16. Assist in building workflows within the assigned applications.

17. Assist in the development and execution of test scripts for major changes and releases.

18. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

19. Completes required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned.

20. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Broad knowledge of such fields as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc. Equivalent to a four year college degree, plus 3 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to read a limited number of words and recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers; ability to write and speak simple sentences as a means for basic communication. ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, notes, letters and memos; ability to write simple correspondence. ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence. ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, general public and other employees of the organization. ability to read, analyze, and understand general business/company related articles and professional journals; ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees. ability to write reports, business correspondence, and policy/procedure manuals; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. ability to read, analyze, and understand common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents; ability to respond to complex or difficult inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of known variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formats.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Bachelors degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Technology, or related degree plan or related work experience.

Knowledge of the Windows operating environments and the Microsoft Office Suite of products.

Strong problem solving and decision making abilities

Intermediate: Alphanumeric Data Entry, Contact Management, Spreadsheet, Word Processing/Typing

Basic: 10-Key, Accounting, Database, Presentation/PowerPoint, Programming Languages

WORKING CONDITIONS

Normal working conditions as found within an office setting, wherein there is controlled temperature and a low noise level, plus a minimum of distractions.
