Our client is seeking an experienced Application Support Analyst to join their IT team and support a range of core business applications, ERP systems, and B2B integrations.


This is a hands-on technical support role for someone who enjoys getting underneath application issues and understanding how systems interact. You will investigate incidents across applications, APIs, databases, integrations, and downstream systems, using tools such as SQL, Postman, logs, and ITSM platforms to identify root causes and drive issues through to resolution.

🔧 Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and functional support across core business applications, ERP systems, and integrations.
  • Investigate and resolve live production incidents, performance issues, and transactional failures.
  • Trace issues across applications, APIs, databases, web services, and downstream systems.
  • Use SQL to investigate data issues, reconcile discrepancies, and validate transactions.
  • Test REST and SOAP APIs using tools such as Postman.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot B2B integrations, web services, scheduled feeds, and data pipelines.
  • Manage incidents, service requests, and changes through the ITSM platform.
  • Work closely with developers, business analysts, internal IT teams, and third-party ERP vendors.
  • Document root cause analysis, workarounds, SOPs, and technical knowledge.
  • Support application access control, RBAC, credentials, certificates, and API secrets.
  • Maintain strong data governance and GDPR standards when working with production data.
  • Provide occasional planned out-of-hours support for upgrades and maintenance windows.


🧩 What We’re Looking For

  • 4+ years' experience in IT, including at least 2 years in Application Support, ERP Support, Systems Analysis, or a similar technical role.
  • Hands-on experience supporting an ERP system.
  • Strong experience troubleshooting live production environments.
  • Good understanding of application architecture, integrations, APIs, web services, queues, and scheduled processes.
  • Strong practical SQL skills, including joins, filtering, aggregation, subqueries, and data reconciliation.
  • Experience testing REST and SOAP APIs using Postman or similar tools.
  • Understanding of JSON, XML, CSV, and other structured data formats.
  • Good foundational knowledge of Windows, networking, Active Directory / Entra ID, and Microsoft 365.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes including Incident, Problem, Service Request, and Change Management.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to take ownership of issues through to resolution.
  • Full Irish driving licence and access to own transport.


➕ Nice to Have

  • Experience with Infor CloudSuite Distribution, M3 ERP, Factory Track, or DMP.
  • Exposure to Infor ION, Infor OS, or M3 Enterprise Collaborator.
  • Experience with APM or log analytics tools such as Azure Application Insights or New Relic.
  • Understanding of database performance, execution plans, blocking, and indexing.
  • Scripting experience with PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
  • Practical exposure to AI-assisted tooling for troubleshooting, scripting, SQL, or documentation.
  • ITIL 4, CompTIA, Microsoft Azure, SQL, or Infor certifications.
