Monthly Pay: $3,591 - $4,704 USD per month
Summary:
Phone calls and emails are the main ways this role connects with prospective customers and arranges introductory meetings. The Appointment Setting Specialist focuses on checking interest, confirming basic fit, and booking clear next steps without closing sales. Working within the business development team under a team lead, this role coordinates with sales representatives and other appointment setters to keep meeting calendars accurate. Job Responsibilities:
- Review assigned outreach queues, incoming inquiries, and follow-up tasks, checking available contact details and previous interactions before making calls or sending emails.
- Make outbound calls, including cold calls, through a Contact-center phone system such as Five9, introducing the meeting purpose clearly and respecting requests to stop contact.
- Ask approved qualification questions to understand a prospect’s business needs, interest, and readiness for an introductory conversation with a sales representative.
- Explain the purpose and expected format of the meeting, answer basic service questions, and avoid making commitments outside the appointment setting role.
- Record contact updates, qualification answers, outreach outcomes, and next actions in a CRM such as Salesforce so teammates can understand the conversation.
- Coordinate available meeting slots through a Scheduling and calendar tool such as Google Calendar, checking attendee availability and confirming the agreed appointment details.
- Send clear meeting confirmations and reminders with the correct meeting link, contact name, and preparation information, using approved email templates where provided.
- Follow up on unanswered inquiries, missed meetings, and rescheduling requests according to team guidance, updating the next action after each attempt.
- Hand qualified appointments to sales representatives with concise context, and escalate unclear qualification criteria, repeated scheduling conflicts, or difficult interactions to the team lead.
- Review completed outreach for accuracy, timely responses, complete notes, appropriate qualification, and follow-up completion, using team feedback to improve appointment quality.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- About 1-2 years of appointment setting, outbound calling, lead qualification, or related customer contact experience preferred.
- Familiarity with introductory sales conversations, basic qualification questions, and the difference between arranging a meeting and closing a sale.
- Ability to use phone systems, CRM tools, and shared scheduling systems while maintaining accurate contact details and appointment notes.
- Clear verbal communication and professional email writing, with the ability to explain meeting purposes and confirm details without pressuring prospects.
- Ability to listen carefully, ask relevant questions, handle hesitation respectfully, and summarize useful context for the next contact.
- Reliable computer, high-speed internet, and a quiet private workspace suitable for focused calls and handling customer information responsibly.
- Availability for the 40-hour weekly commitment and agreed working days and shift times, including scheduled team check-ins and training.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
Perks & Benefits:
- Fully remote work from home in New York, with desk-based responsibilities and collaboration through shared communication channels.
- Structured onboarding and training on the named systems, qualification criteria, outreach procedures, and appointment handoffs.
- Regular check-ins with the team lead to review progress, discuss questions, and receive practical feedback.
- Opportunities to build lead qualification, appointment scheduling, outbound communication, and CRM skills through daily work.
- Health coverage, paid leave, maternity leave, bonus opportunities, and stipends.
