  • Support projects through all stages of design and delivery, ensuring outputs meet programme, quality, and technical requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Planning, Engineering, and other multidisciplinary teams.
  • Participate in client meetings, workshops, presentations, and design reviews.
  • Contribute to business development activities, including bids, proposals, and client relationship management.
  • Maintain high standards of design quality, technical accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor project progress, resource requirements, and commercial performance, escalating risks where appropriate.
  • Mentor and support junior team members, contributing to their professional development.
  • Play an active role in fostering the collaborative culture and continued success of the Glasgow & Edinburgh studios which is home to a full multi-disciplinary team including Architects, Technologists, Project Managers and Engineers.

About you

We are looking for an ambitious and collaborative professional with:

  • RIBA Part 3 qualification and eligibility to practise as an Architect in the UK.
  • A degree or postgraduate qualification in Architecture, Master planning, Urban Design, Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, or a related discipline, with membership of a relevant professional body (or eligibility to obtain membership).

Experience & skills

  • Relevant experience in urban design, master planning, or related disciplines within a UK-based architectural, planning, or multidisciplinary consultancy environment.
  • Experience leading or managing projects, taking responsibility for design development and project delivery.
  • Strong understanding of the UK planning, architectural, and project delivery processes.
  • Experience engaging with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary design teams to deliver successful project outcomes.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent design, visualisation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Strong report writing, technical documentation, and presentation capabilities.
  • Experience working across a variety of sectors and project scales.
  • Sound understanding of sustainability principles and their application within the built environment and public realm. LEED or equivalent accreditation would be advantageous.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • A proactive, collaborative, and creative approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
