Company Overview

The company is a real estate developer with an in-house architectural team, focused on delivering thoughtful, high-quality buildings that blend design integrity with practical constructability. It works across residential and mixed-use projects with an emphasis on adaptive reuse and neighborhoods with historic preservation requirements, particularly within New York. The culture values precision, accountability, and collaboration, pairing rigorous technical standards with a builder’s mindset.

You’ll find a hands-on environment where design, development, and construction thinking come together. The team moves quickly, uses modern tools, and leans on clear documentation to bring projects from concept to permit and build-out with care and efficiency.

Mission

We’re looking for an architect/drafter who loves the craft of drawing and can turn sketches into clear, buildable documents. You’ll support a licensed architect to produce full plan sets, create mechanical and plumbing drawings, develop construction details, and prepare submission packages for NYS/NYC agencies. Your work will directly influence schedule, quality, and compliance across multiple active projects.

Day to day, you’ll model in Revit, draft in AutoCAD, review site surveys, research codes, annotate details, and refine sets through redlines—always with an eye for accuracy and constructability, especially on projects in historic districts. If you enjoy problem-solving, clear communication, and the satisfaction of taking a set from draft to permit-ready with precision—you’ll feel right at home.

Key Responsibilities

Your daily tasks will vary, giving you room to learn, grow, and strengthen your skills while supporting the team with excellence. You’ll collaborate closely with a licensed architect and work across multiple project types and phases.

  • Produce complete, coordinated building plan sets per internal standards and specifications.
  • Build full Revit models of entire buildings from sketches, surveys, and markups.
  • Draft intermediate/secondary documents, including plumbing, mechanical, and life-safety plans and risers.
  • Prepare and package submission documents for NYS/NYC agencies in accordance with local requirements.
  • Develop construction details (sections, wall assemblies, material interfaces, connections, waterproofing, etc.).
  • Read and analyze architectural site surveys; translate field and survey data into accurate base drawings and site plans.
  • Research and apply building codes, zoning, and accessibility requirements to drawing sets.
  • Incorporate redlines and iterate drawings quickly while maintaining version control and sheet organization.
  • Maintain BIM/CAD standards, templates, families/blocks, and naming conventions.
  • Perform drawing QA/QC to ensure precision, consistency, and compliance—especially on historically sensitive projects.
  • Use Bluebeam (preferred) for markups, coordination reviews, and set comparisons.
  • Prepare drawings for different phases (permit, bid, construction) and ensure clear, buildable documentation.

Qualifications

  • Years of Experience: 3-5 years of architectural drafting/BIM production experience (NYC projects preferred)
  • CRM Tool: Not required
  • Softwares: Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam (preferred)
  • Industry Knowledge Required: Architecture and real estate development workflows; NYC/NYS building codes, permitting, and historic preservation considerations
  • Specific Gender: No preference

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong written and verbal communication; ability to interpret and implement redlines efficiently.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation rigor.
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD; comfort with Bluebeam for markups and set comparisons.
  • Ability to read and analyze site surveys and translate findings into coordinated drawings.
  • Code research aptitude; ability to interpret and apply building, zoning, and accessibility codes.
  • Time management, organization, and ability to prioritize across multiple active projects.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a builder’s eye for constructability and coordination.

Technical Requirements

  • Own PC or laptop
  • Reliable internet connection (wired connection recommended)
  • Noise-cancelling headset and a quiet, professional workspace
  • Access to current versions of Revit and AutoCAD (or ability to obtain licenses)
  • Bluebeam (preferred) for markups and QA/QC
  • Ability to work the specified schedule (4 PM - 12 AM Beirut Time)

Position Description

  • Working Hours: 8 hours, from 4 PM till 12 AM Beirut Time
  • Working Days: 5 days a week
  • Days Off: Saturday and Sunday
  • Work Location: Fully-remote, you can work from anywhere
  • PTO (Paid Time Off): You may request time off anytime with advanced notice
  • Salary Range: 2,000$ -2,500$/month
