Creating Peace of Mind by Pioneering Safety and Security
At Allegion, we help keep the people you know and love safe and secure where they live, work and visit. With more than 40 brands, 14,000+ employees globally and products sold in 130 countries, we specialize in security around the doorway and beyond.
Additionally, Allegion is proud to be recognized with the 2026 Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award (GEWA) for the third consecutive year, earning distinction in both the employee engagement and strengths categories. This year, Allegion also received Gallup’s With Distinction honor — a designation reserved for a select group of organizations that go above and beyond in building exceptional workplace cultures.
Architectural Services Consultant - Project Manager (National Multifamily)
Allegion’s largest multifamily developers run dozens of projects at once across many markets. Today each project touches four or five of our people, and no one owns the outcome end to end. This new role fixes that. You’ll be the single point of contact and named hardware expert for a portfolio of enterprise multifamily clients. You’ll own their standards, their Division 8 and Division 28 specifications, and their experience with Allegion across the full project lifecycle, from Schematic Design (SD) through Construction Administration (CA), including work under Architectural Consulting Agreements where applicable
Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. The company does not intend to provide sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B, TN, etc.) for this employment position.
What You Will Do:
- In conjunction with our National Multifamily team, serve as the client interface for every project in your portfolio, so each client has one accountable owner from SD through CA.
- Manage the project lifecycle so deliverables land on time, within scope and budget, with risk managed and quality controlled.
- Build and maintain Overtur Master Sites for each client, including client standards, master hardware sets and a worked example project the field can follow.
- Manage Division 8 and 28 specification delivery ensuring nothing reaches the client missing data from coordination calls or departing from established standards.
- Develop a detailed Project Plan per project in accordance with Client standards and expectations
- Develop the strategic approach for each client and co-own the annual business plan with the National Multifamily team.
- Work to maintain National Agreements with our Enterprise clients
- Maintain a single project register across all clients. Track and report capture rate, revenue per project and spec$ per target.
- Stay current on competitive products and activity in the multifamily market, especially access control and unit entry.
- Comply with all Allegion policies, guidelines and procedures.
What You Need to Succeed:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, architecture, construction management, or door hardware consultancy required.
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 50% within the territory
- Basic understanding of security systems integrations and electronic components
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated experience influencing others with a bias for action
- Strong customer service focus
