Architectural Technologist

On a typical day as our Architectural Technologist, you will: Demonstrate a deep understanding of architectural and structural drawings. Develop structural design drawings according to Summerwood's design specifications. Complete order assessments to determine the scope of the project. Prepare full sets of construction drawings that are clear, accurate, comprehensive, and consistent. Provide shop drawings for production. Revise drawings based on changes requested by the client and feedback from engineers, plan examiners, contractors, and the production manager. Engage in ongoing continuous improvement initiatives within the organization. Attend to other related new projects as required. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or a degree from an architectural technology program. 3+ years of professional experience in design and wood frame construction. BCIN certification is an asset. Strong knowledge of Canadian building codes, zoning regulations, and planning processes. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Demonstrated ability to work well with clients, contractors, engineers, and colleagues. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
