As Area Aftersales Performance Manager, you will manage and support a portfolio of franchised dealerships, acting as a key link between the manufacturer and its dealer network. Rather than directly managing individual dealership operations, your role will be to challenge, support and develop dealer aftersales teams, identifying opportunities to improve commercial performance, operational processes and customer retention. Key responsibilities will include: Managing relationships with a designated portfolio of franchised dealerships Working closely with Dealer Principals, General Managers, Aftersales Managers, Service Managers and Parts Managers Reviewing dealership aftersales performance and identifying opportunities for improvement Helping dealerships increase service and parts profitability Analysing key aftersales KPIs, trends and performance data Developing dealership-specific action plans and following through on agreed improvements Supporting improvements in workshop productivity, efficiency and utilisation Reviewing labour sales, parts performance, retention and customer-pay opportunities Helping dealerships improve customer retention and workshop loading Supporting implementation of manufacturer aftersales programmes, processes and standards Identifying operational weaknesses and working collaboratively with dealership management to address them Supporting customer satisfaction and customer experience initiatives Sharing best practice across the dealer network Supporting new product, technology and aftersales programme launches Providing regular reporting and insight to the OEM's senior management team We are particularly interested in candidates who understand the realities of running a successful dealership aftersales operation. You may currently be working as an Aftersales or Service Manager in a main dealer. You should be able to demonstrate: Strong experience within automotive aftersales Previous experience within a franchised/main dealer environment A good commercial understanding of how dealership aftersales departments generate revenue and profit Strong knowledge of workshop KPIs including productivity, efficiency and utilisation An understanding of parts performance, labour sales, customer retention and warranty The ability to interpret dealership performance data and translate it into practical actions Strong relationship-building and influencing skills The confidence to challenge experienced dealership management teams constructively Excellent communication and presentation skills A practical, solutions-focused approach to improving performance The ability to work independently while managing a portfolio of dealer relationships Previous OEM experience would be advantageous, but is not essential. A Fantastic Move into an OEM career for an ambitious dealership Aftersales or Service Manager, this represents an excellent opportunity to move to the manufacturer side of the automotive industry.
