Your opportunity

By joining the Kardium team, you can help make a difference in the lives of millions around the world. We have developed a ground-breaking medical device for the diagnosis and treatment of the most common heart rhythm disorder, atrial fibrillation – which can cause stroke, heart failure, and other heart-related complications.

Kardium’s mission is to deliver the best treatment for atrial fibrillation. To achieve this, we have developed The Globe® Pulsed Field System. Our technical team has built a product with strong, unique, and customer-valued differentiators versus other solutions on the market, and we have built connections with key opinion leaders who are already using the Globe System and helping to tell our story.

We have obtained FDA approval and officially begun the commercial launch of the Globe® Pulsed Field System. This is a pivotal and exciting time in our journey, as we bring this life-changing technology to patients!

As an Area Sales Director, you will be a key leader in the commercial launch of the Globe System. You will work alongside our commercial leadership and marketing teams on sales and marketing strategy, but your primary focus is execution: hiring and building a best-in-class sales and clinical team, earning the trust of electrophysiologists (EPs) and their lab teams, and turning the launch plan into adoption, utilization, and revenue in your area.

Please note, this opportunity is a remote work arrangement based in the United States. Region will include Northeast US.

What you’ll be doing:

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Execute the launch. Own delivery of the Globe System sales plan in your area, including account targeting, site activation, case support, and ongoing utilization.
  • Help shape strategy. Partner with commercial leadership, marketing, and product teams on sales and marketing strategy, bringing what you see in the field back into the plan.
  • Build the team. Recruit, hire, and onboard best-in-class Sales Reps and Field Clinical Specialists and set a high bar for who joins.
  • Lead and develop. Coach, manage, and support your sales and clinical team, with clear expectations, regular field time, and accountability for results.
  • Engage EPs. Build and maintain strong relationships with EPs, EP lab staff, hospital administrators, and key opinion leaders, and be a trusted presence in the lab.
  • Drive clinical adoption. Make sure sites are trained, supported, and successful with the Globe System, working closely with your Field Clinical Specialists on case coverage and procedural support.
  • Know your market. Track competitor activity and market trends in your area and use them to adjust how the team competes.
  • Forecast and report. Prepare and present sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and performance metrics to senior management.
  • Stay compliant. Follow all regulatory requirements and company policies and hold your team to the same standard in every customer interaction.
  • Be in the field. Travel to clinical sites to support your team and customers.

What you bring to the team

Our Kardium team is smart, creative, and passionate about developing cutting-edge medical devices to help improve people’s lives. We work in a collaborative environment based on trust and respect. We understand that only by working together can we solve what was thought unsolvable.

You are suited to our approach and possess these attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent
  • Minimum of 10 years of sales experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the medical device industry
  • A track record of recruiting, building, and developing high-performing sales and clinical teams
  • Proven success in developing and executing sales strategies that drive revenue growth
  • Established relationships with EPs and EP lab teams, and a deep understanding of the electrophysiology market and pulsed field ablation technology
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
  • Ability to work in the USA
  • A valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to travel over 50%
