The Area Sales Managers mission is to manage their territories and solve customer’s gripping needs with premium solutions that allow them to increase their profits and make their working environments safer to their employees and the environment.

Examples of projects related to this role:
The role will support the growth of profitable sales and market share of Piab Vacuum Automation & Robotic Gripping Division products focusing on the development of our channel partners and customers in the New England region.
Location: Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine

This position reports to the District Sales Manager - North. Area Sales Manager works closely with the other members of North District Team and other departments central to the company as well as representatives of the Owner, Patricia Industries and the rest of the board.

Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field. Minimum 3-5 years technical sales experience.

Key responsibilities
- Developing and implementing territory business plans in support of company goals and objectives.
- Developing and managing sales channels for all industrial Vacuum Automation & Robotic Gripping Division products and accessories in support of territory goals and objectives.
- Documenting and managing sales activity including customer visits, opportunities, and account information through active use of Salesforce CRM and Piab’s Sales Excellence process.
- Conducting regular reviews with Distributors and other channel partners in support of regional growth.
- Providing customers and channel partners with technical support for Piab Vacuum Automation & Robotic Gripping Division product lines.
- Working in conjunction with other Piab divisions and departments to cultivate and manage sales activity within a region.
- Informing/teaching customers and sales channels about new products, application successes, and Piab’s various support tools.
- Participating in joint and direct sales calls based on potential or strategic account value.
- Providing technical training for sales channel partners as well as OEM, Integrator and end customers through web casts and site visits.
- Participate in Piab hosted annual sales meetings, events, and activities. Provide on-site customer service and technical support for Vacuum Automation & Robotic Gripping products.
- Assist when needed with trade show preparation and coverage.
- Provide the District Sales Manager and the Sales Director with weekly and monthly updates about significant territory activity, opportunities, and issues.
- Work with inside partner(s) to support the region and achieve territory goals and objectives.
- Utilize Pixie, Piab's AI assistant, to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiencies in sales management.
- In this role you are required to act accordingly to the Piab Code of Conduct and know and follow the Piab values, mission and routines. This role requires travel to both Piab and external parties’ global destinations when applicable.

- Excellent English skills: verbal and written
- Proficiency with Microsoft office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.
- General understanding of prompting generative AI models
- General understanding of pneumatics and pneumatic systems
- Demonstrates strong leadership skills
- Experience with online webinar and conference tools (Teams, Livestorm, etc)
- Experience with Salesforce CRM is a plus
- Experience working with Manufacturers Distributors is a plus
- Experience selling industrial products
- Experience with implementing sales strategies
- Strong organizational skills
- Capable of working independently and comfortable making decisions
