Area Sales Manager (Packaging Machines)

FMC HR is looking for an Area Sales Manager for our German client; a leading manufacturer of end-of-line packaging machines. As the first employee in Türkiye, you will have the autonomy to shape and grow the local market, supported by excellent training and ongoing guidance from the headquarters. Reporting to the Director Sales International in Germany, the person will be based in Türkiye and work from home office. Key Responsibilities Acquire new customers and develop, expand, and maintain strong relationships with existing customers Build and leverage an active network to identify new business opportunities and strengthen sales activities Contribute to the development and implementation of market and sales strategies Assess market potential, provide rolling forecasts, and translate insights into targeted sales strategies Provide technical and commercial consultation, prepare quotations, and manage the sales process from initial inquiry through successful completion Plan and participate in trade fairs, customer events, and other sales activities, including the preparation of presentations Work closely with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure effective coordination and customer support Represent the company and the Sales function professionally both internally and externally Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering Several years of experience in the sales of high-quality capital equipment, ideally in food packaging, end-of-line packaging, or related machinery Business-fluent in spoken and written Turkish and English; German language skills are an advantage Confident user of MS Office and ERP systems Ability to understand customer requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions Strong analytical, structured, and solution-oriented approach to work Entrepreneurial mindset, with a high degree of initiative and ownership Willingness to travel Your personal data/sensitive personal data will be processed for the purposes of evaluating your request for a job application and your eligibility for the relevant position.
