Company Description Aiome is a sensory technology company developing the world’s first olfactory intelligence platform, combining adaptive hardware, AI-driven personalization, and behavioral data to deliver the right scent at the right time. The platform learns from real-world usage patterns to optimize scent experiences that support focus, calm, and energy, much like a “Spotify for scent” that improves with continued use. Founded in Hong Kong and incubated through HKU and HKSTP, Aiome operates across consumer, enterprise, and automotive sectors. Current applications range from desktop companions for professionals to fleet safety solutions deployed across more than 130 vehicles. Aiome is building the infrastructure layer for personalized scent at scale, opening new opportunities for experts in aromatherapy and wellness.
Role Description As an Aromatherapist at Aiome, you will design, test, and refine scent blends that align with desired emotional and cognitive outcomes, such as focus, relaxation, and alertness. You will collaborate with product, hardware, and data teams to translate aromatherapy principles into programmable scent profiles for Aiome devices. Daily activities include evaluating essential oils and fragrance materials, documenting scent protocols, providing input on safety and usage guidelines, and participating in user trials and feedback sessions. You will help develop scent libraries and contribute to content that educates users on how to integrate personalized scents into their work, rest, and daily routines. This is a contract, hybrid role based in Hong Kong, with a mix of on-site collaboration and work-from-home flexibility.

- Comfort working with technology-driven products, including openness to collaborating with AI, hardware, and data specialists on scent personalization.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary, startup environment.
- Relevant certification or training in aromatherapy, holistic wellness, or related fields; experience with clinical or workplace applications is an advantage.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Cantonese or Mandarin is beneficial for local collaboration.
- Eligibility to work in Hong Kong and willingness to work in a hybrid arrangement combining on-site and remote work.
