We are looking for an experienced RPG / IBM i Developer to design, develop, and optimize backend business logic for the Wynne RentalMan ERP platform using RPG/ILE, CL, and DB2/400.

The role includes developing and maintaining integrations with external systems, supporting international ERP implementations, adapting solutions to local financial and operational requirements, and managing the application lifecycle from technical design through deployment.

You will work within a collaborative engineering environment, contributing to the continuous development and international expansion of the ERP platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, maintain, and optimize backend solutions using RPG/ILE and CL on IBM i (AS/400).

  • Develop and maintain database functionality using embedded SQL, SQL/400, and DB2/400.

  • Build and support integrations between the ERP platform and third-party applications using Web Services, XML, MQ Series, and other messaging technologies.

  • Support international ERP implementations and rollouts.

  • Adapt ERP functionality to different financial, operational, and regulatory requirements.

  • Manage application changes and deployments using Aldon or similar change management tools.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ERP applications and integrations.

  • Participate throughout the application lifecycle, from technical design and development to testing and deployment.

Requirements

  • Proven expertise in RPG/ILE and CL programming on IBM i (AS/400).

  • Hands-on experience with RPG embedded SQL, SQL/400, DB2/400, and Printer Files.

  • Solid experience integrating ERP systems with third-party applications using Web Services, XML, MQ Series, or similar messaging technologies.

  • Working knowledge of Aldon or comparable change management and deployment tools.

  • Fluent English, both written and spoken.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in ICT, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to Have

  • Hands-on experience with Wynne Systems RentalMan ERP or comparable equipment rental / asset management ERP solutions.

  • Experience with e-invoicing implementations across European or international tax frameworks.

  • Broad understanding of business processes such as rental operations, logistics, supply chain, finance, and asset tracking.
