Ashly Audio Engineering - Embedded Systems Engineer

Position Summary

Ashly Audio is seeking a full-time to develop and maintain firmware for advanced
network audio amplifiers, digital signal processors, and remote-control devices. If you have a passion for audio and

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Develop bare metal or RTOS firmware for complex embedded systems that require high reliability
• Develop backend and middleware firmware for embedded Linux platforms
• Assist with peripheral interface electronics design (and other circuits if desired)
• Maintain coding standards with intuitive function/object names, clear comments, and flow diagrams
• Define test plans and help develop test automation projects to effectively validate code releases
• Work with other engineers to understand system integration requirements
• Work with technical support staff to investigate and correct reported bugs or deficiencies

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be proficient with C++ and/or C
  • Must be proficient with Java Script and/or Python
  • Strong experience with complex embedded system design focusing on high reliability
  • Experience with embedded Linux firmware development is highly desired
  • Experience with Node.JS, SQLite, and ZeroMQ are very beneficial
  • Experience with one or more of the following:
  o Graphical User Interface development
  o Network-related programming (such as client/server applications, asynchronous processing).
  o Designing and implementing communications APIs for SPI, I2C, or UART.
  • Experience using Git/Bitbucket
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing firmware and hardware for complex embedded systems.
• Familiarity with audio networking, professional audio systems, and related technologies.
• Hands-on experience with hardware-level troubleshooting and embedded product development.
