Is this job info correct?

Who We Are BioMarin is a leading rare disease biotechnology company focused on genetically defined conditions. Guided by our purpose to develop medicines that make a profound impact on people’s lives, our global teams have delivered a portfolio of therapies since our founding in 1997. Our revolutionary treatments for conditions like achondroplasia (the most common form of dwarfism), PKU (phenylketonuria), CLN2, a form of Batten disease, and a number of forms of MPS (mucopolysaccharidosis) offer new possibilities for patients and families who previously had few, if any, available options. More recently, with the close of the Amicus acquisition, our portfolio has expanded to include therapies for Fabry disease and Pompe disease, expanding our ability to reach more people living with rare genetic conditions. Our success comes from our unwavering commitment to excellence, our deep understanding of patient needs, our scientific expertise, and our world-class manufacturing capabilities. At the heart of BioMarin is a dedicated team of the brightest minds in the industry working together to deliver innovative therapies to patients and families around the world. About Commercial Be part of the worldwide infrastructure that gets our drugs to underserved patients around the world. Our global sales force solidifies BioMarin’s commercial presence in the United States and Europe and is rapidly growing in other regions, such as South America, EuMEA, and Asia-Pacific. Asset Team Lead (ATL), Skeletal Conditions Business Unit The purpose of BioMarin's cross-functional Asset Teams is to get transformative medicines approved and reimbursed quickly, with a sense of urgency and without cutting corners, to create value for the organization. Asset Teams form and exist to lead the integrated development of highly differentiated, life-changing medicines for people living with genetic diseases. The purpose of the Asset Team Leader is to serve as the single point of leadership and accountability for an asset, bringing together diverse expertise to set direction, resolve tradeoffs, and accelerate the delivery of life-changing medicines to patients while creating sustainable value for the organization. The Asset Team Leader (ATL) is accountable for the integrated success of an asset and serves as the primary leadership voice for its strategy, priorities, and execution. Through influence rather than direct authority, the ATL aligns leaders across Commercial, Medical, Research, Clinical Development, Regulatory, Technical Operations, Market Access, Finance, and other functions around a shared vision and integrated strategy. This role requires enterprise leadership, strategic thinking, and exceptional cross-functional collaboration to maximize patient impact and asset value. What You'll Own Integrated Asset Strategy Lead the development and execution of an integrated asset strategy that aligns with Business Unit priorities, portfolio objectives, and BioMarin's enterprise goals. Shape the strategy across the asset lifecycle, from development through commercialization and lifecycle management. Evaluate opportunities, risks, and tradeoffs to inform critical decisions and optimize long-term value creation. Ensure alignment between strategic priorities, resource allocation, timelines, and financial plans. Cross-Functional Leadership Lead a high-performing Asset Team representing diverse functions and perspectives. Create alignment around strategic priorities, key decisions, and execution plans. Foster an environment of trust, transparency, accountability, and productive debate. Build strong partnerships across the organization to ensure timely escalation and resolution of business-critical issues. Decision-Making and Governance Drive timely, high-quality decision-making through governance forums, business reviews, and executive interactions. Serve as the primary champion and advocate for the asset. Communicate strategy, risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations clearly to executive leadership and other stakeholders. Ensure decisions reflect both near-term objectives and long-term enterprise value. Execution and Delivery Translate strategy into coordinated action across the organization. Establish priorities and create accountability for achievement of key milestones and strategic deliverables. Monitor progress, anticipate obstacles, and adapt plans to maximize asset value and patient impact. Drive a sense of urgency while maintaining a commitment to scientific rigor, quality, and compliance. Success in This Role Successful Asset Team Leaders: Create a clear and compelling vision that aligns stakeholders around a shared strategy. Lead effectively in highly matrixed environments without relying on formal authority. Navigate complexity, ambiguity, and competing priorities to make timely, high-quality decisions. Build commitment and accountability across functions to deliver critical business and development objectives. Anticipate risks and opportunities early and proactively adjust strategy and execution plans. Advance assets toward important clinical, regulatory, commercial, and value-creating milestones. Foster a high-performing team culture characterized by collaboration, trust, transparency, and inclusivity. What Great Asset Team Leaders Bring Enterprise Leadership Ability to think beyond functional priorities and make decisions that optimize outcomes for patients, the asset, the Business Unit, and BioMarin as a whole. Strategic and Commercial Acumen Strong understanding of asset development, commercialization, lifecycle management, and the factors that drive value creation. Influence Without Authority Demonstrated ability to align diverse stakeholders, build consensus, and drive outcomes in highly matrixed organizations. Decision-Making and Execution Excellence Ability to synthesize complex information, navigate tradeoffs, create clarity, and deliver results through others. Communication and Executive Presence Skill in engaging stakeholders at all levels, facilitating productive dialogue, and communicating strategy, risks, and recommendations with clarity and confidence. Qualifications Required 10+ years of experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or a related industry. 5+ years of experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives or teams in a matrixed environment. Demonstrated success influencing decisions, driving alignment, and delivering results across multiple functions. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with a track record of balancing short-term execution and long-term value creation. Preferred Experience in product development, commercialization, medical affairs, portfolio strategy, business leadership, or related disciplines. Experience leading an Asset Team or similarly complex cross-functional organization. Understanding of the biopharmaceutical product lifecycle from development through commercialization and lifecycle management. Mindset Patient-centered in decision-making and action. Data-driven and objective in evaluating opportunities and risks. Agile and adaptable in navigating complexity and change. Inclusive leader who values diverse perspectives and constructive challenge. Driven by impact, accountability, and continuous improvement. Why This Role Matters The Asset Team Lead plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of BioMarin's portfolio and advancing therapies that have the potential to transform patients' lives. This role offers the opportunity to influence enterprise strategy, partner with leaders across the organization, and guide critical decisions that accelerate the delivery of life-changing medicines to the patients who need them most.
