Assistant Category Manager - Camping | BCF

At BCF, we're passionate about inspiring and equipping our customers to get outside and enjoy the great outdoors. We're now looking for an Assistant Category Manager to join our Camping team and play a key role in bringing market-leading products, ranges and experiences to life.

This is your chance to step into a pivotal role where you’ll partner across Merchandising, Planning, Marketing, eCommerce and our Trade Partners to deliver product ranges for our customers out there living their best outdoor lives. 

What You’ll Be Doing 

• Drive category execution: Support delivery of the category strategy, ensuring line plans, pricing and promotions land seamlessly across the calendar and store network 
• Be the engine room of the category: Manage product lifecycles end-to-end – new lines, changes, clearance and discontinuations, managing timelines across multiple workflows 
• Partner for performance: Work cross-functionally with Planning, Marketing, Omni and Retail teams to drive category performance, optimise sales and support store execution 
• Own the detail: Ensure product data, pricing, margin and compliance are accurate and aligned across all systems 
• Support smart decisions: Provide insights, reporting and inputs into category reviews and range strategies 
  
  

What We’re Looking For 

• Experience in a merchandising, category, buying, planning or retail commercial environment.
• Strong commercial acumen with advanced Excel and analytical skills.
• Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• A collaborative communication style and confidence working with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive, solution-focused approach.
• A passion for retail, customer experience and delivering great products.
