Assistant Manager _ R2R

Candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing end-to-end Record-to-Report activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, month-end close, account reconciliations, journal entries, and compliance with internal controls. The role requires strong accounting expertise, stakeholder management, problem-solving skills, and the ability to drive process improvements and operational excellence. The role demands a strong understanding of General Ledger accounting, financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and close processes while maintaining high standards of quality, compliance, and customer service. Month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close management General Ledger accounting and financial reporting Account reconciliations and journal entry reviews Team leadership, coaching, and workload management Stakeholder communication and issue resolution Internal controls, audit support, and compliance Process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency KPI management and continuous improvement initiatives Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3-7 years of relevant experience in Record-to-Report (R2R), General Ledger, Financial Reporting, or Accounting Operations. Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations. Experience managing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities. Proven ability to lead and develop teams while managing stakeholder expectations. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar financial applications. Knowledge of internal controls, compliance requirements, and audit support activities. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Demonstrated track record of process improvement, automation, and operational excellence initiatives. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively. Experience in insurance accounting, statutory reporting, or financial reporting processes will be an added advantage.
