About The Role


The Assistant MEP Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating electromechanical construction activities on site, ensuring project delivery is achieved on schedule, in full compliance with approved specifications, and in line with established quality and safety standards.

The role involves close coordination and follow-up with the Contractor, Design Consultants, Project Management team, and other stakeholders to monitor site progress, resolve technical and coordination issues, and support the successful delivery of MEP works.



Key Responsibilities


  • Assist the MEP Construction Manager in monitoring and coordinating electromechanical construction activities across assigned projects.
  • Monitor the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
  • Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents to support compliance with project requirements.
  • Coordinate with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and other disciplines to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates, identifying risks and implementing mitigation plans.
  • Ensure all works are carried out in line with quality standards and project requirements.
  • Enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures on site.
  • Understanding and advice on of method statements, shop drawings, and material submittals.
  • Support and follow up procurement activities, including technical evaluations and vendor selection.
  • Oversee testing and commissioning processes and ensure proper handover documentation.



Qualifications & Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5–7 years of f experience in electrotechnical construction
  • Experience in large-scale construction projects (industrial,and/or commercial).
  • Solid knowledge of construction methodologies, codes, and standards.
  • Basic understanding of contract administration and project management principles is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with testing, commissioning, and project handover processes.
