Sustainability has been part of the Mulberry ethos since the brand's inception, in recognition of our purpose-driven approach, in 2024 we proudly achieved B Corp Certification.

Today, we are a global brand, but our values remain the same; we are committed to improving our impact on people and the planet. To do this our people are honest, dynamic, and community spirited.

If these are values you share, we would love you to join our team.

Mulberry is looking for an analytical and commercially minded Assistant Planner to join our Planning & Responsible Sourcing team and play a key role in supporting the planning and delivery of our product collections.

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of our Planning & Responsible Sourcing function, ensuring the right products are available at the right time across our global channels. Working closely with colleagues across Merchandising, Product Development, Commercial and Operations teams, you will help drive informed business decisions through robust planning, reporting and analysis.

As an Assistant Planner at Mulberry, you will be passionate about retail, product and data. You'll enjoy working collaboratively across teams while taking ownership of key planning activities, inventory reporting and production planning. You will combine strong analytical skills with a commercial mindset, helping to support business performance and the successful delivery of our collections.

This role can be based at either our Somerset, Chilcompton or our London office and operates on a hybrid basis, with colleagues expected to spend three days per week in the office.

What you'll bring

To be successful in this role, you'll bring strong analytical capability, excellent attention to detail and the confidence to build relationships across a wide range of stakeholders. You'll be comfortable working with large volumes of data, translating information into meaningful insights and supporting planning decisions that add value.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has advanced Excel skills and strong numerical capability.
  • Has 1-2 years' experience within planning, sourcing, buying or merchandising.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical skills and a commercial mindset.
  • Enjoys building collaborative relationships and partnering with stakeholders across multiple functions.
  • Can interpret data and translate analytical findings into clear commercial insights.
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Takes ownership, shows initiative and delivers with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Can effectively manage priorities and work to tight deadlines.
  • Has the ambition to develop their planning expertise and take on increasing responsibility.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing production plans by SKU for release, based on commercial requirements and analysis of demand plans.
  • Compiling, communicating and monitoring production plans across the business.
  • Validating supply and demand to maximise fulfilment across all sales channels and regions.
  • Supporting allocation planning for key launches and contingency scenarios where required.
  • Monitoring group stock levels and reporting future stock positions to support responsible inventory management.
  • Managing the Free-To-Sell model and minimising oversold items through effective stock and shipping prioritisation.
  • Supporting special projects and initiatives across product collections and categories.
  • Preparing, issuing and maintaining daily, weekly and monthly reporting for the business.
  • Developing new reporting and analytical tools to support business requirements.
  • Maintaining the integrity of Prima (ERP) and Business Objects data.
  • Supporting the wider Planning & Responsible Sourcing team with ad hoc analysis and projects.

Culture

  • Embrace and demonstrate the Mulberry values and behaviours: honesty, dynamism, and a community-oriented spirit.
  • Support Mulberry to deliver an inclusive culture, through behaving in a way that is open-minded and respectful towards others, and understanding that your views, opinions, and experiences may not always be shared by your colleagues.
  • Act as an ambassador for Mulberry and communicate positively about the brand.

Sustainability

  • As a certified B Corp, we are committed to using business as a force for good. You'll be encouraged to incorporate environmentally and socially responsible practices into your work, supporting our Made to Last strategy across Climate, Circularity, and Community.
  • Help foster a culture where diversity is celebrated and every individual feels valued, respected, and included. Champion equity, empathy, and understanding in all interactions - internally and externally.

  • Hybrid working
  • Generous staff discount and access to staff sales
  • Birthday day off
