The University of South Florida, School of Social Work invites applications for a Field Coordinator & Assistant Professor of Instruction/Assistant Instructor position. This is a 12-month continual appointment, subject to annual evaluations. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. The position will be responsible for the recruitment of new community partners, continued engagement with current community partners, and the student field placement process in coordination with the Director of Field Education. The position is dedicated to providing instruction in both the BSW and MSW programs and contributing to the service needs in the School, including the admissions process, advising and other duties.
Minimum Qualifications:
- MSW from a CSWE-accredited social work program.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Teaching experience in social work higher education.
- Administrative experience in social work, education and/or leadership in a human service agency.
- Two years of full-time or the equivalent of part-time post-graduate social work practice experience.
- Experience in field education for example, creating and developing community partnerships, coordinating student placements, and providing oversight of students throughout the field placement process.
- Face-to-Face and Online teaching experience in social work education.
- Demonstrate an ability to problem-solve and prioritize tasks.
- Experience with competency-based standards.
- Supervisory experience with students or staff.
- Social work state licensure in any state, State of Florida preferred.
