ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER Architecture & Construction | Full-Time · Remote LATAM About the Role One of Committed Staff's U.S.-based architecture and construction clients is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join their team and support multiple active projects. You'll work directly alongside the Project Manager, handling subcontractor follow-ups, preparing reports and contract documents, coordinating materials and permits remotely, and participating in weekly site meetings. The ideal candidate has some exposure to the construction industry, is comfortable with project management tools, and is eager to learn — because the goal is for this person to eventually take ownership of projects from start to finish, with guidance along the way. A Role Designed for Ownership The client wants someone they can train and mold — not a passive executor. You'll start supporting project meetings and gradually take them over. If you're someone who takes initiative, asks the right questions, and is hungry to grow in construction project management, this is the opportunity to do exactly that. Work Setup Location: Remote · LATAM Schedule: U.S. Business Hours Language: English B2+ Key Responsibilities Follow up with subcontractors on project-specific items: contracts, submittals, schedules, and progress updates — keeping everyone accountable and on track. Prepare and distribute weekly project status reports summarizing progress, open items, risks, and next steps for each active project. Coordinate and place material orders as needed for active projects, tracking delivery schedules and ensuring alignment with project timelines. Assist with permit submissions, track application statuses, and coordinate with local jurisdictions and agencies to keep projects moving through approvals. Prepare change orders, payment applications, and other project documents using the firm's established templates — accurately and on time. Participate in weekly site progress meetings with subcontractors, take notes, track action items — and gradually take ownership of running them independently. Software You'll Use Required Procore — primary platform for project management, submittals, RFIs, and subcontractor coordination. Bluebeam — PDF markup, drawing review, and document collaboration across project teams. MS Project — project scheduling, timeline tracking, and milestone management. Microsoft 365 — Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams for documentation, reporting, and daily communication. Autodesk Platform — BIM 360 / ACC for drawing management, document control, and project collaboration. Nice to Have AutoCAD / Revit — ability to read and navigate architectural and construction drawings. Requirements Required 1–3 years of experience in construction, architecture, or project coordination — enough to understand how projects run, not necessarily to run them solo. Working knowledge of Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, Microsoft 365, and the Autodesk platform. Ability to read and interpret basic construction documents: submittals, schedules, RFIs, and change orders. English B2 or higher — daily written and verbal communication with the U.S. project team and subcontractors. Strong organizational skills — able to track multiple open items across multiple projects simultaneously. Nice to Have Experience in the construction industry specifically — GC, subcontractor, or owner's rep environments. Familiarity with permitting processes and dealing with local U.S. jurisdictions remotely. Ability to navigate AutoCAD or Revit drawings — reading plans, elevations, or details. Background or studies in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field. Prior experience working remotely with a U.S.-based construction or architecture firm. You're the Right Fit If You Are Not too green, not too senior: You've been around construction projects enough to know the terminology, the flow, and what matters — but you're still hungry to learn and don't have bad habits to unlearn. A relentless follow-upper: Subcontractors don't always respond on time. You're the kind of person who follows up professionally, persistently, and doesn't let things fall through the cracks. Ownership-minded: You don't wait to be told what to do next. When a task is done, you're already thinking about what needs to happen after it. Comfortable in meetings: You can take notes, track action items, and eventually run a weekly project call with subcontractors — clear, organized, and in control. Detail-oriented with documents: Change orders and payment applications have financial and legal implications. You read carefully, fill in accurately, and ask before assuming.
