The Assistant Project Manager will work closely with ownership and field teams to help manage the day-to-day coordination of active construction projects. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment, can stay organized across multiple moving pieces, and is comfortable handling both administrative and project management responsibilities.
This person will play a key role in keeping projects on schedule, maintaining accurate documentation, coordinating with field crews and subcontractors, and helping ensure timely communication around project changes, budgets, and scheduling.

- Identify issues early and help drive solutions to keep work moving
- Support the owner with project management tasks and back-end operational work
- Serve as a reliable point of contact for internal project follow-up

- Experience in heavy civil, commercial, or public works construction strongly preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

- Ability to work independently without close supervision
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management/document tracking tools
- Experience with scheduling, budgeting, RFIs, and change order processes preferred
- Ability to communicate clearly with field crews, vendors, and external stakeholders
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can step in quickly, learn the business, and take meaningful work off the owner’s plate. They should be someone who is comfortable starting with support-level tasks and growing into a larger project management role over time. They should bring strong judgment, solid construction experience, and the confidence to operate with increasing independence.
Compensation
Compensation will be competitive and based on experience. We are open to hiring a strong mid-level to senior-level candidate who can operate with minimal hand-holding and contribute immediately.
