Manage end-to-end legal support for contract intake and negotiations across all KFC US departments. Your mission will be to ensure compliance, mitigate risk, and support KFC US business goals by driving effective contracting processes.

  • Manage intake of vendor contract requests and maintain appropriate tracking, reporting and storage of same.
  • Draft and negotiate vendor contracts, including: non-disclosure agreements, testing distribution and supply agreements, master products and services agreements, master consulting agreements, data processing agreements, statements of work, order forms, facilities agreements, and hotel and event agreements.
  • Provide accurate, helpful risk assessments and work proactively and cooperatively to develop solutions to complex problems. Appropriately escalate high risk issues to supervising attorney.
  • Support RFP process by ensuring that stakeholders understand timelines and critical legal requirements.
  • Develop expertise related to compliance with internal policies governing the collection and use of customer data. Support efforts to ensure customer data is collected and processed in compliance with applicable data privacy laws.
  • Work cross-functionally with Yum! Stakeholders to ensure contracts comply with internal company standards.
  • Work on special projects to support corporate and restaurant technology initiatives as requested.
  • Ensure ongoing alignment with internal teams through regular 1x1 meetings, email communications, training/coaching, and measuring and sharing results.
  • Other assignments and tasks as delegated by the Chief Legal Officer.

Education/Certifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, paralegal certification preferred

Experience

  • At least 4 years’ paralegal experience in a law firm or law department – (in-house experience preferred))
  • Mindset focused on providing risk assessments and real-world solutions. Ability to support large number of business stakeholders and understand their needs and goals, tolerance for risk, team members’ roles and skills. Capacity always to be flexible and to embrace the support role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build individual relationships and to communicate with leadership as needed.
  • Ability to manage outside counsel/consultant relationship.
  • High personal and professional integrity and the ability to establish personal credibility within the department and organization
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with high expectations for excellence.

Salary Range: $94,590 to $99,845 annually + bonus eligibility. This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors.
