Role Description
The Associate Attorney will work on a full-time, hybrid (3 days on-site and 2 days remote) basis in Manila, supporting a broad range of legal matters for clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting and reviewing contracts and pleadings, preparing legal opinions and advisory memoranda, and conducting thorough legal research on Philippine laws, regulations, and jurisprudence. The role involves attending client meetings, providing legal advice, negotiating and reviewing settlements and agreements, government liaising, and assisting in court appearances and hearings. The Associate Attorney will collaborate with senior lawyers and staff to manage cases, ensure accurate documentation, and uphold high ethical and professional standards in all client engagements.
Qualifications
- Strong grounding in Law, with demonstrated knowledge of Philippine legal systems and procedures.
- Specialized familiarity with criminal, civil, labor and related regulatory compliance.
- Ability to provide clear, practical legal advice and support client counseling under appropriate supervision.
- Proficiency in legal research, including case law, statutes, and administrative regulations.
- Effective Negotiation skills for contracts, settlements, and client agreements.
- Bar admission in the Philippines and in good standing (or 2026 Bar applicant).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Filipino.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.
- Commitment to ethical practice, client confidentiality, and continuous professional development.
- Prior experience in litigation or corporate practice is an advantage but not strictly required for highly motivated early-career attorneys.
