Associate Attorney for High End Litigation Boutique

Overview (Confidential Search) A five-attorney, high-end litigation boutique seeks a Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney (3–5 years) to join its civil litigation practice. The firm handles a wide variety of commercial litigation and white collar matters and is looking for an associate who is eager to take on similarly diverse work. This is a hybrid role based in Santa Monica, California, with offices expected to move in the near future to Culver City or West Los Angeles. The team values a friendly, highly collaborative culture, and the firm is looking to hire immediately. Responsibilities Responsibilities will be commensurate with ability and may include: Drafting and briefing in civil and commercial litigation matters Managing and executing discovery Taking increasing ownership of matters, up to and including running aspects of a case Working directly with partners and clients on strategy and day-to-day case needs Qualifications 3–5 years of relevant experience Experience in commercial litigation (required) Interest in a boutique environment handling a wide variety of commercial litigation and white collar matters Ability to thrive in a collaborative, collegial team setting Billable Hours Target: 1,750 hours Structure: Flexible Compensation Base salary: $220,000–$320,000 Compensation depends on experience; the firm expects to pay approximately 80% of pre-bonus Cravath-scale compensation Bonus potential Benefits Healthcare Growth & Development Direct partner and client exposure Support in building a professional profile and developing a book of business Interview Process Submission of a writing sample Interview with two partners (together or separately)
