Associate Attorney – Workers’ Compensation Defense

Location: Remote (must reside in Florida – Statewide)

The Role

Kelley Kronenberg is expanding its Workers’ Compensation Defense practice and looking for an Associate Attorney ready to manage a full caseload with real independence. Working alongside an experienced Partner, you’ll take matters from intake to resolution on your own docket, in a fully remote role open to attorneys anywhere in Florida. This is an opportunity to sharpen your litigation skills with the backing of a firm genuinely invested in your growth.

What You’ll Handle

• Take full ownership of a defense caseload, managing each file from assignment through final disposition within a remote, team-oriented environment.
• Weigh in on litigation strategy alongside senior attorneys, from early case evaluation to ongoing approach.
• Comb through medical records to lay the factual groundwork for liability defenses and broader case strategy.
• Produce the core legal work product — pleadings, motions, and discovery responses — that keeps each matter moving forward.
• Act as a consistent point of contact for clients, carriers, and employers, keeping everyone aligned as cases progress.

What You Bring

• Juris Doctor and active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar.
• At least 3 years of experience practicing as an attorney.
• Strong legal writing skills, paired with sound judgment and the interpersonal ability to manage client relationships effectively.
• Comfort working in a fully virtual practice, with the discipline to meet deadlines and use legal technology effectively without in-office supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to turn complex medical records into clear, persuasive legal argument.

Nice to Have

• Background specifically in Workers’ Compensation defense.
• Experience with virtual depositions, mediations, or court appearances.
