Job Description:

MasterBrand is seeking an Associate Brand & Product Leader to help shape the strategy, growth, and profitability of a brand within our broader portfolio. This high-impact commercial leadership role offers meaningful ownership of brand strategy, product portfolio, pricing, customer value proposition, and financial performance. It is designed as a developmental pathway to a full Brand & Product Leader role.

You will operate with a general manager and ownership mindset—developing a deep understanding of target customers, translating insights into clear priorities, and mobilizing Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Operations, and Finance to deliver results. Success requires analytical rigor with commercial instinct, customer curiosity, and a bias toward action.

As the champion and voice of the brand, you will ensure it has a differentiated market position, compelling customer proposition, healthy innovation pipeline, and clear path to profitable growth.

This is a remote position; however, candidates located in or able to work eastern or central time zone hours are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Build the capabilities to lead and manage a P&L, including the drivers of sales, price, volume, mix, margin, cost, and profitability.
  • Establish quarterly sales and profitability objectives and maintain a disciplined operating cadence against commitments.
  • Analyze performance to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities; when results deviate from plan, lead root-cause analysis, countermeasure development, ownership, and follow-through.
  • Turn data into fact-based recommendations, decisions, and actions while balancing near-term performance with the long-term health of the brand.
  • Build and maintain a rolling two-year brand and product strategy focused on the highest-value opportunities for profitable growth.
  • Determine how pricing, product mix, portfolio actions, new product introductions, and commercial execution work together to deliver the strategy.
  • Clarify the brand’s role, positioning, differentiation, and growth opportunities within the MasterBrand portfolio.
  • Translate competitive intelligence and market dynamics into actionable priorities, measurable outcomes, and investment choices.
  • Develop a deep understanding of target customers—their needs, purchase drivers, pain points, economics, decision criteria, and unmet opportunities.
  • Spend meaningful time with customers, sales teams, channel partners, and other sources of marketplace insight.
  • Convert customer needs into product, pricing, positioning, innovation, and commercial priorities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Engineering, or a related discipline required; an MBA or other advanced degree is beneficial but not required.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Marketing, Product Management, Commercial Strategy, or a related business discipline preferred.
  • Experience with pricing, portfolio management, product development, customer segmentation, or new product commercialization.
  • Experience in durable goods, building products, cabinetry, manufacturing, consumer products, or another product-oriented business is a plus.
  • Strong business and financial acumen, with the capability and ambition to assume broader P&L responsibility.
  • Experience working across multiple functions to deliver business results.
  • Ability to translate complex information into clear priorities, recommendations, and actions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel 5-10% of the time.
