What's your possible?
At Northrop Grumman UK, you are part of a team driving innovation where it matters most, solving tomorrow's challenges and shaping the technology solutions of the future. We call it Defining Possible.
This mindset goes beyond our customer solutions. It's the foundation for your career development, the opportunities available to you, and the impact we have within the communities we serve.
This is more than just a job. It's a mission.
We're looking for an Associate Delivery Manager to join our Delivery team, supporting some of the UK's most important and complex programmes across defence, national security, cyber and mission-focused environments.
As an Associate Delivery Manager, you'll help ensure projects are delivered effectively by providing financial oversight, delivery support, governance, reporting and stakeholder engagement. Working within agile project teams, you'll learn from experienced Delivery Managers while taking ownership of your own work packages and contributing to successful customer outcomes.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in delivery management, project management, programme support or operational leadership. You'll gain exposure to the full project lifecycle, work with experienced professionals, and develop the skills needed to manage increasingly complex projects and customer engagements.
You'll play a key role in helping our teams deliver meaningful outcomes that support critical missions while building valuable experience in a collaborative and supportive environment.
What You'll Do
- Support the delivery of projects and programmes, ensuring milestones, budgets and customer expectations are effectively managed.
- Monitor project performance, including financial tracking, forecasting, resource demand and governance reporting.
- Work with delivery, account and business management teams to identify and mitigate risks, issues and delivery challenges.
- Support agile teams by applying project management principles, delivery frameworks and continuous improvement practices.
- Build strong relationships with customer stakeholders and internal teams to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
- Contribute to commercial processes, project mobilisation activities, audits, reporting requirements and change control activities.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Experience supporting projects, programmes or operational delivery activities.
- Understanding of project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, Lean or similar approaches.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
- Experience using business and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Office, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams or similar platforms.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with colleagues and customers at different levels.
- A proactive mindset with an interest in delivery excellence, problem solving and continuous improvement.
Desirable
- Knowledge of project financial management, forecasting, budgeting or reporting.
- Understanding of risk, assumption, issue and dependency (RAID) management.
- Experience within defence, national security, government, engineering, technology or highly regulated environments.
- Awareness of commercial delivery models such as Fixed Price and Time & Materials contracts.
- Relevant project management qualifications or training, such as PRINCE2, AgilePM, APM, Scrum or equivalent.
We know that no candidate will meet every requirement. If you're excited about the opportunity and believe you can make a positive contribution, we'd love to hear from you.
Security Clearance
Due to the nature of our work, you must be a UK national and have the Highest Level of UK Government clearance.
