About The Role
Team – Platform Engineering
Working Pattern - Hybrid – 2 days per week in the Vitality Bournemouth Office. Full time, 35 hours per week.

What This Role is All About
What You'll be Doing
- Support the day-to-day operation and maintenance of services across Vitality’s hybrid cloud environment
- Complete operational tasks with guidance, following established processes and technical standards
- Investigate and report issues affecting platform services, contributing to effective troubleshooting and resolution
- Create and maintain tools and processes that improve operational efficiency and service reliability
- Support certificate management, API gateway management and reverse proxy management processes
- Contribute to infrastructure upgrades, platform migrations and technical implementation activity
- Assist with the management, maintenance and improvement of the DevOps toolchain and user access
- Work with the team to identify opportunities for greater automation through infrastructure as code
- Contribute to the design and delivery of straightforward platform services
- Build practical knowledge of cloud operations, application platforms and service design principles
What do you need to thrive?
- A genuine interest in automation, cloud technologies and continuous learning
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code concepts and tools such as Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, YAML or JSON
- Some experience managing Windows and Linux operating systems
- Strong organisation skills with the ability to manage competing tasks effectively
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- A constructive approach to feedback and continuous improvement
- Knowledge of AWS or GCP infrastructure management and exposure to Python, Java, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Bash or the AWS CLI would be advantageous
- A relevant computing degree or equivalent experience within an IT environment
