You will play a key role in delivering client objectives and contributing to the growth of our footprint in Asia. The Role As an Associate Director, you will play a key role driving our client service and client development in Asia. You will oversee the delivery of high-stakes campaigns, navigating complex political and regulatory landscapes to provide clients with insights that are clear, actionable and grounded in business needs. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, resolving complex advocacy challenges and ensuring deliverables meet a high standard of quality and strategic intent. Beyond project execution, you will lead and inspire a high-performing team, fostering a culture of intellectual curiosity and client-centricity through direct mentorship and focus on problem solving. You will proactively drive the growth of the practice by identifying emerging policy trends and converting them into commercial opportunities across new and existing client accounts. You will maintain a high level of external engagement and be visible to current and potential clients. Leveraging your professional network, you will engage with key political stakeholders, industry bodies, and media figures to position the firm at the forefront of the public discourse. You will be responsible for spearheading the pursuit of new business, leading the creation of compelling proposals and delivering high-impact pitches that articulate a clear, strategic vision. In this role you will: Build trusted-advisor relationships by delivering strategic counsel aligned with clients’ commercial and policy objectives Oversee advocacy and public policy campaigns, ensuring effective resolution of political challenges and measurable outcomes Identify growth opportunities related to emerging technologies, political developments, and investment trends Drive revenue by securing new business and managing client accounts effectively Partner with leadership to recruit and motivate a high-performing team of consultants and policy specialists Foster a culture of excellence and intellectual curiosity that encourages proactive engagement with policy trends Enhance firm visibility through active participation in industry associations and thought leadership initiatives Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate public affairs into broader firm offerings What you will need 10+ years’ experience advising senior decision-makers, ideally including within a consultancies or strategic communications firm Strong policy and advocacy expertise, including policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, and strategic communications Proven ability to navigate complex client environments and manage both internal and external challenges Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing direct reports and/or leading discrete project teams Excellence in structured problem-solving and executive communication, with the ability to frame issues clearly and write and present for senior audiences Entrepreneurial mindset, with the initiative to originate opportunities, lead industry initiatives, and represent the firm externally What we offer you: We work in a flexible hybrid model, typically aligning each employee to one of our global offices, with each person spending 2 days per week in the office, and 3 days remote.
