Overview
The Associate Director, Omnichannel Marketing will lead integrated omnichannel planning, media investment, and non-personal promotion for healthcare professional (HCP), patient, and caregiver audiences. In partnership with HCP and Patient Marketing leads, this role translates brand strategy and customer insights into coordinated engagement plans across digital and media channels, with accountability for campaign delivery, budget management, measurement, and continuous improvement. This hands-on role combines strategic leadership with execution, guiding agencies and cross-functional partners from planning through compliant deployment and optimization. The position offers the opportunity to build and scale digital engagement capabilities that support education and relevant customer experiences in oncology and cell therapy.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Lead annual omnichannel marketing planning for assigned initiatives, translating brand priorities into audience strategies, channel plans, investment recommendations, timelines, and measurable objectives.
- Partner with HCP and Patient Marketing leads to align omnichannel initiatives with brand strategy, market research, customer needs, and business priorities; recommend trade-offs and priorities within approved plans and budgets.
- Design coordinated HCP engagement journeys that connect relevant content, channels, timing, and follow-up; partner with Commercial teams to align non-personal promotion with field engagement where appropriate.
- Lead patient and caregiver engagement planning and execution, using journey insights to deliver relevant disease-state education and approved branded communications that address information needs across the treatment consideration journey.
- Translate customer insights and audience segmentation into campaign briefs, content requirements, and coordinated activation plans; maintain consistent messaging and manage delivery milestones across channels.
- Lead media and digital agency partners through planning, execution, and optimization across programmatic media, paid search, paid social, websites, and email/customer relationship management (CRM) campaigns, as appropriate to the audience and approved plan. Establish clear briefs, scopes of work, deliverables, and performance expectations.
- Partner with business leads and analytics colleagues to establish measurement plans, key performance indicators, and dashboards before campaign launch. Evaluate reach, audience engagement, journey progression, and investment efficiency; communicate insights and optimization recommendations to stakeholders, recognizing the limits of attribution.
- Develop and execute test-and-learn plans across audience targeting, content, channel mix, and communication timing; use findings to improve customer experiences and recommend campaign and investment adjustments.
- Evaluate emerging digital capabilities, including artificial intelligence, against defined business needs. Partner with technology, analytics, and compliance colleagues to assess feasibility, data requirements, privacy, and implementation priorities before adoption.
- Serve as content owner through the promotional review process, partnering with Medical, Legal, and Regulatory reviewers to manage assets from development through approval, deployment, updates, and retirement. Maintain approval status and channel readiness without assuming reviewers’ approval authority.
- Lead cross-functional delivery with Marketing, Commercial, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Legal, analytics, and technology partners while respecting functional responsibilities. Ensure campaigns follow applicable promotional, privacy, consent, and company requirements, including established safety-reporting processes for digital channels.
