Associate Director, Pricing & Contracting Operations

The Associate Director, Pricing & Contracting Operations is responsible for leading the execution, administration, compliance, and reporting activities associated with commercial contracting and government pricing programs. Reporting to the Senior Director, Pricing & Contracting, this role provides operational leadership and partners with Finance, Market Access, Legal, Compliance, Commercial Operations, government pricing consultants, and external vendors to ensure accurate contract implementation, government price reporting, state transparency reporting, and oversight of pricing-related systems and records. The role provides strategic and operational guidance to ensure compliance with federal and state requirements, internal controls, and SOX requirements while advancing the company’s pricing and market access strategies.

Responsibilities:

Government Pricing & Rebate Operations

• Direct and validate monthly and quarterly government pricing calculations prepared by external consultants, including AMP, Best Price, Non-FAMP, FCP, ASP, and inflation rebates, ensuring the accuracy of assumptions, methodologies, and source data
• Provide oversight to ensure the timely and accurate submission of government pricing data to CMS, HRSA, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and other government agencies
• Lead the operational execution of Public Law and other applicable federal pricing and reporting requirements
• Lead and coordinate responses to government pricing audits, inquiries, and data validation requests
• Oversee Medicaid Drug Rebate Program, Medicare, and TRICARE invoice processing, reconciliation, dispute resolution, and timely payment in partnership with external vendors
• Provide leadership and guidance to Finance and Accounting in developing and maintaining Medicaid, Medicare, and TRICARE rebate accrual methodologies, establish appropriate reserves, and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close activities

Contract Operations

• Lead cross-functional partnerships with Finance, Endocrinology, Oncology, and external vendors to operationalize and administer payer, distribution services, specialty pharmacy, and Group Purchasing Organization agreements
• Oversee contract implementation activities to ensure accurate loading of pricing, rebates, fees, and contract terms. Coordinate contract onboarding, renewals, amendments, and terminations
• Provide oversight to ensure the timely and accurate communication of Wholesale Acquisition Cost (WAC) changes, contract price changes, and contract amendments to external stakeholders

Pricing & Contracting Administration and Compliance

• Establish and oversee complete records, SOPs, work instructions, and control documentation supporting pricing and contracting decisions, government pricing calculations and reporting, rebate payments and accruals, state transparency reporting, SOX requirements, and internal and external audits
• Provide oversight to ensure appropriate documentation is maintained to support government pricing calculations, rebate payments, accrual methodologies, and financial audits
• Lead audit readiness and responses by overseeing the preparation, retrieval, and validation of required documentation for internal and external audits

State Transparency Price Reporting

• Provide oversight of timely and accurate state drug price transparency reporting for product launches, price increases, and other reportable events, including the submission of required data and maintenance of supporting records and communications

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Serve as a trusted operational leader and strategic partner across Market Access, Finance, Government Pricing, Commercial Operations, Legal, Compliance, Trade, and external consultants
• Lead pricing and contracting operational readiness in support of product launch planning and execution
• Drive continuous improvement across processes, controls, reporting, and data integrity
• Provide operational leadership and subject-matter expertise to cross-functional initiatives related to pricing strategy, contracting operations, and compliance programs
• Model and promote Corcept’s key principles, collaborating effectively, embracing possibilities, following the data, and leading by doing, to build a culture of accountability, innovation, and trust

Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Technical Proficiencies:

• Extensive Experience with government pricing programs including Medicaid Drug Rebate Program, Medicare Part B and Part D reporting, 340B, and Federal Supply Schedule programs
• Strong knowledge of state transparency reporting requirements
• Experience overseeing supporting SOX controls, audit readiness, and compliance documentation
• Experience leading or managing pharmaceutical contract management systems and rebate administration processes
• MBA, CPA, or other relevant advanced degree or certification

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Healthcare Administration, or related field
• 8+ years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical pricing, market access, contract operations, government pricing, finance, or related functions
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical contracting and reimbursement channels
• Demonstrated experience overseeing relationships and complex deliverables with government pricing consultants and external vendors
• Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities, with the ability to provide sound recommendations on complex pricing and contracting matters
• Strong organizational, project leadership, and communication capabilities, with demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and manage multiple priorities

The pay range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position is $172,200 – $227,900; the pay ultimately offered may vary based on legitimate considerations, including geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education.
