Summary of Position:

This role presents a rare opportunity to be one of founding members of the pricing and contracting operations team at Scholar Rock. Reporting directly to the Head of Market Access Finance, you'll act as a hands-on second-in-command: owning day-to-day management across pricing and contract operations as well as Gross-to-Net (GTN), while helping shape the team that will grow around you. If you want visible, high-impact work with a direct line to Finance and executive leadership, this is a place to make a real difference and make your mark on how a launch-stage biotech runs pricing operations.

Position Responsibilities

  • Own gross-to-net (GTN) actuals-to-forecast reconciliation, including variance investigation and root-cause analysis
  • Build reporting and analytics tools with automated validations across GTN, GP, and commercial and government rebates to strengthen oversight and surface actionable insights
  • Coordinate business process outsourcing (BPO) partners, serving as the first-line escalation point
  • Build contract analytics capabilities to support contract performance monitoring and decision-making
  • Monitor IRA implementation, CMS rule-making and other policy changes; assess and communicate business impact to the Pricing Committee where relevant
  • Manage BPO state price transparency reporting across applicable jurisdictions and monitor the evolving state regulatory landscape for new filing mandates
  • Maintain the ex-US list/net price reference database supporting international reference pricing (IRP) analysis and global price corridor monitoring
  • Maintain the global price master and price change-control process. Ensure list price changes, launch prices, and affiliate/distributor prices are approved under the pricing delegation of authority, documented, and accurately reflected in downstream systems
  • Oversee revenue-leakage mitigation across contracting and compliance, including chargeback and duplicate-discount mitigation, rebate non-compliance, and price-calculation risk
  • Manage rebate and chargeback processing and dispute resolution, ensuring accurate, timely, and auditable transactions
  • Partner with Finance/FP&A and Accounting on quarterly GTN accruals and forecast assumptions (rebates, fees, discounts, utilization, and customer mix)
  • Strengthen SOX-aligned controls and documentation across contracting and pricing operations
  • Prepare deal models and policy impact analyses for Market Access and the Pricing Committee
  • Own and optimize pricing and contracting data for analysis
  • Evaluate, gain approval for, and implement a duplicate discount vendor solution
  • Help build the evidence-based case for Phase 2 hiring and scaling of the function
  • Lead and mentor analysts as the team scales, establishing best practices and a center-of-excellence approach
  • Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA) and/or CPA a plus
  • 8+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech market access experience spanning government and commercial pricing, contracting, and GTN analytics
  • Excellent GTN modeling, contract analytics, and financial-modeling skills; advanced Excel; comfort with reporting/BI/dashboard tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL) strongly preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of AMP, ASP, Best Price, URA, 340B, Medicaid, Medicare Part B and D, FSS/VA and trade channel dynamics
  • Demonstrated experience managing third-party/BPO partners and transitioning or implementing operational projects
  • Familiarity with duplicate discount vendors (e.g., BRG, Kalderos etc.)
  • Experience supporting product launches or late-stage pipeline assets
  • Understanding of SOX controls and auditable operations in a public-company environment
  • Excellent communication and executive-presentation skills; thrives in a fast-paced, build-oriented biotech
  • Scholar Rock is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
