The team also manages responsible sourcing, eco-label certifications, greenhouse gas (GHG) reporting, ESG disclosures, and environmental, health, and safety (EHS) management systems. You will work with suppliers, ODM/JDM partners, product teams, and internal stakeholders to collect and review compliance data, support product launches, and help deliver regulatory and sustainability reporting. If you are curious, adaptable, and self-motivated, with strong communication skills and a passion for sustainability, this role offers a broad foundation for a career in environmental compliance and sustainability engineering.

- Supporting product compliance with global environmental regulations, including substance restrictions, chemical reporting, packaging, and battery requirements
- Collecting, reviewing, and tracking supplier and product compliance data, and following up with suppliers on missing information
- Helping new product teams meet sustainability goals such as energy efficiency, recycled content, repairability, and recyclability
- Supporting eco-label registrations and certifications (e.g., EPEAT, ENERGY STAR)
- Assisting with responsible sourcing and supply chain due diligence programs
- Supporting producer responsibility, product take-back, and e-waste programs and reporting
- Helping gather and analyze data for greenhouse gas (GHG) and ESG reporting (e.g., CDP, EcoVadis)
- Supporting environmental, health, and safety (EHS) management systems, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
- Monitoring regulatory changes and summarizing potential impacts for the team
- Contributing to team projects and process improvements as needs evolve
Specific Knowledge/Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Materials Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field
- 0–3 years of experience in environmental compliance, sustainability, EHS, or a related role; internships, co-ops, and relevant academic projects are considered
- Foundational knowledge of, or strong interest in, environmental regulations and sustainability practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable working with large data sets
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, formulas)
- Detail oriented and well organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Self-motivated, eager to learn, and willing to take initiative; a collaborative team player
- Adaptable and comfortable working across many topics while priorities and responsibilities take shape
- Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work with suppliers and cross-functional teams
The following areas of experience are a plus
- Internship or co-op experience in electronics manufacturing, environmental consulting, EHS, or sustainability
- Coursework or projects in environmental regulation, lifecycle assessment, carbon accounting, or materials science
- Familiarity with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, the GHG Protocol, or eco-label programs
- Exposure to compliance data, sustainability, or PLM software
- Experience with data visualization or analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Python)
- Experience working with international or cross-cultural teams
Language Skills (English)
- Ability to write clear technical reports, business correspondence, and procedure documentation
- Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams
