Role Overview
As an Associate Implementation Engineer, you will work with clients to understand functional and technical requirements, configure, integrate, and customize trading platforms to meet their business needs, while partnering with Product, Technical Account Management, and Support teams to deliver reliable client solutions.
You will apply hands-on programming and problem-solving skills in an Agile environment to investigate and resolve complex issues, contributing to the delivery and continuous improvement of production solutions.
Responsibilities
- Work with clients to analyze their requirements and issues from both functional and technical perspectives.
- Configure, integrate, and customize products to fulfil clients’ business requirements.
- Liaise with Product teams and Technical Account Managers to support successful client implementations.
- Proactively improve processes to promote better quality and safer deployments.
- Assist the Support team with the most critical support cases.
- Use programming and problem-solving skills to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues using Java, Linux and databases.
- Work collaboratively within an Agile/Scrum framework to support team delivery and product innovation.
- Apply continuous integration and test-driven development (TDD) practices when developing or enhancing technical solutions.
- Build, test, and validate implementation-related technical deliverables before deployment.
Your Profile
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a relevant major.
- Highly comfortable in a client-facing role, with a strong focus on building relationships and supporting clients through regular meetings, phone calls, presentations, demos, and day-to-day communication.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Technical expertise: Knowledge of Java, Linux, and databases is required, with a interest of solving problems through programming.
- Autonomy, organization, and a strong sense of accountability.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional Agile team.
- Excellent command of English.
- Financial experience is a plus, including exposure to front-office systems, market connectivity, equities/derivatives, FIX protocol, and third-party vendors.
Technical Environment
- The role requires technical knowledge of Java, Linux, and SQL databases.
- You will work primarily in a Java-based, Linux environment and will use SQL to investigate data, support integrations, and help resolve functional and technical issues. Familiarity with databases, including writing and understanding SQL queries, is required.
- Relevant engineering tools and practices may include: Java development and debugging, build and deployment processes, automated testing, continuous integration, and quality-focused delivery practices.
