Team Name: Diablo Immortal Job Title: Associate Interpreter, Chinese/English(Contractor) Requisition ID: R027535 Job Description: Blizzard Entertainment is seeking a talented bilingual professional to support the ongoing communications for the development of Diablo Immortal. The candidate will be responsible for translating design documents, providing consecutive interpreting during meetings among game designers across all disciplines, as well as in-game strings from Chinese to English. The ideal candidate for this position is a strong communicator in both languages, motivated to work in the dynamic gaming industry, preferably with experience working under tight deadlines and has a passion for getting ideas across. This is a one-year temporary position. What You Bring to the Table Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities: Interpret during meetings between teams, ensuring clear and effective communication among designers Facilitate string translation as needed in a fast-paced environment Communicate with cross-functional teams during projects to ensure quality and on-time delivery Respond quickly to urgent requests for translation support Ability to meet required deadlines and work independently Minimum Requirements Experience Fluency in both English and Mandarin (written and spoken) is required Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting Flexibility to accommodate late-night meetings with international teams working across different time zones Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge & Skills Excellent Chinese and English linguistic skills Bachelor's degree in language, communications, or a related field Key Attributes Strong motivation, high level of commitment with proactive and positive attitude Able to work effectively in a diverse team independently Excellent time management skills Passion for video games, heroic fantasy, sci-fi worlds, and pop culture Extra Points Experience with game localization or translation Experience with Blizzard Entertainment games Game testing or any gaming related background Your Platform Best known for iconic video game universes including Warcraft®, Overwatch®, Diablo®, and StarCraft®, Blizzard Entertainment, Inc.
