Your Role in Supporting Our Members: VCIM is seeking an Associate Investment Analyst to join our integrated investment management team. Working collaboratively with the Investment Management Team , you will assist in the day-to-day management of equity mandates in accordance with VCIM’s Responsible Investment approach . This is a Full-time, Permanent role based at our Vancity head office in Vancouver, B.C . and will report directly to the Associate Portfolio Manager . While this position provides a hybrid work arrangement , you will be expected to come on-site at least 2-3 days every week . How You'll Make an Impact: Conducting fundamental research and providing well-formulated investment recommendations so that portfolio performance is optimized, and risk is managed. You will be searching for equity opportunities predominately in Canada across the entire market cap spectrum. Monitoring investment assets across VCIM mandates in accordance with investment policy guidelines and VCIM investment strategy objectives. Discussing potential and current equity investments with the rest of the Equities team in a thoughtful and open manner. Facilitating the development of necessary tools for use by the Equities team to assist in portfolio construction and investment research. What You’ll Bring to the Team: 1-3 years of experience in public equities, investment banking, private equity, or a related role A clear passion for investing Strong business writing, presentation, and communication skills Proficiency with financial modeling and a strong understanding of accounting concepts Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a desire to work in a team environment dedicated to Responsible Investing. Progress toward or completion of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is considered a strong asset You’ll Thrive Here If You Are: Analytical - proficient in breaking down complex information and identifying key points for consideration. What You’ll Earn: The base salary for this role is $80,000 plus performance bonus . The base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
