Associate Manager Clinical Operations

Within our Clinical Research Group, you'll lead talented clinical operations professionals who help bring innovative therapies to patients faster. We're looking for an experienced Associate Manager, Clinical Operations to provide leadership, coaching, and operational oversight to a team of clinical professionals while driving quality, performance, and continuous improvement across clinical trials. Responsibilities: As an Associate Manager, Clinical Operations, you will: Lead, coach, mentor and develop a team of clinical operations professionals, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture. Oversee onboarding, induction, training and ongoing professional development for new and existing team members. Manage team performance through regular coaching, goal setting, performance evaluations and career development planning. Support resource planning and allocation to ensure projects are appropriately staffed and operational goals are achieved. Partner with project and functional leaders to proactively identify and resolve resource, quality and performance issues. Monitor operational metrics, KPIs and project status using clinical systems such as CTMS, Preclarus and Clarity. Conduct performance assessments and monitoring evaluations (remote and on-site where applicable). Identify training needs and contribute to the development and delivery of operational training programs. Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and quality. Support audit readiness, quality management activities and responses to internal and external audits. Collaborate with senior clinical operations leadership on strategic initiatives and business objectives. Requirements: Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or a related discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience). Previous clinical operations experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or CRO industry. (experience as Clinical Research Associate / Assistant Clinical Research Associate /Country Approval Specialist or Contract Specialist ) At least 1 year of people leadership or supervisory experience . Demonstrated experience managing teams, coaching employees and driving performance. Strong understanding of clinical trial operations and applicable regulatory requirements. Preferred Skills: Strong leadership and people management capabilities Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Experience with clinical systems including CTMS and related platforms Knowledge of Risk-Based Monitoring (RBM) Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Experience driving operational excellence and process improvements High attention to quality and compliance Ability to influence and collaborate across cross-functional teams Why Join Thermo Fisher Scientific?
