O3 Solutions provides a digital project management platform purpose-built for capital projects. Driven by industry best practices, including Advanced Work Packaging (AWP), Agile, and Lean methodologies, O3 helps teams of all kinds achieve measurable success from early phase planning through execution, systems completion, and start up.
At O3, we are committed to building a team of talented, passionate individuals who are dedicated to reshaping the future of the construction industry. Our people are the driving force behind everything we achieve, and we’re always looking for exceptional talent to join us on our journey.
About the role
The Associate Product Manager helps evaluate, define, and deliver features for O3’s project planning and execution platform, working with customers on capital projects worldwide. You’ll start by evaluating feature requests and potential solutions with our Product Team, talking directly with customers to understand their problems, and partnering with engineering to ship features users adopt. As you build depth in the product and the industry, you’ll grow into owning a product area of the O3 platform as a Product Manager, typically within 12–18 months.
What you'll do
- Meet with customers to understand pain points and opportunities to improve key processes, including gap analysis.
- Evaluate incoming feature requests by assessing the underlying customer problem, its value, and its urgency to inform prioritization.
- Conduct user research and testing to evaluate potential solutions.
- Write PRDs that frame the customer problem, planned solution, and launch requirements.
- Develop user stories and acceptance criteria for product enhancements.
- Test developed features to confirm they meet the needs of users.
- Define success metrics for released features and track adoption with each client.
- Drive successful implementation and adoption of released features with the appropriate clients.
- Contribute to our library of product visuals (images, GIFs, and videos) and to the onboarding tours and materials that help new users adopt the product.
- Contribute to and present at planning discussions, including the quarterly roadmap review, yearly Product Planning, and backlog refinement.
- Facilitate internal team and customer meetings.
- Over time, take ownership of the backlog and roadmap for a product area, making prioritization and tradeoff decisions with engineering.
Qualifications
Required
- 2+ years of experience as a business analyst, product owner, or product manager, or in a technical or field role on construction or engineering projects
- Experience turning business or field needs into clear written requirements, such as user stories for an agile development team (e.g., in Jira), or, for field professionals, documents like work packages, scopes of work, procedures, or process improvement proposals
- Experience conducting customer interviews or user research and turning the findings into product decisions
- Strong analytical and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage several initiatives at once
- Strong written communication, demonstrated through clear, well-structured requirements and documentation
- Comfort presenting to and facilitating meetings with customers and internal teams
- Ability to travel up to 20% (on-site feedback, research, conferences)
- Ability to work flexible hours to support overseas projects, as needed
Preferred
- Industrial construction experience through an Owner, EPC, contractor, or software provider
- Knowledge of Advanced Work Packaging methodology
- Experience with design and process modeling tools such as Claude Design, Figma, Miro, or Lucidchart
- Exposure to product analytics or prototyping tools
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field
- Spanish proficiency at a business level
We especially welcome people from Owner, EPC, or contractor backgrounds, such as workface planners, field engineers, and project controls professionals, who want to move into product.
