About Glass Lewis
At Glass Lewis, we help investors make informed governance decisions. Our independent research and analysis support institutional investors and pension funds in evaluating publicly listed companies. Our global team values integrity, collaboration and transparency.

About the role
We are seeking entry-level Research Associates to support Quantitative Research and Executive Compensation research covering publicly listed U.S. and Canadian companies. You will review company disclosures, collect and verify data, and contribute to analysis of executive pay and its alignment with company performance and shareholder interests.
This posting covers opportunities on both teams, with responsibilities depending on your team assignment. Comprehensive paid training is provided, and prior experience in executive compensation is not required. The role offers practical experience for candidates interested in research, finance, business, law, corporate governance or investor stewardship.

Our research teams

Quantitative Research
The Quantitative Research team provides the data and analysis that support assessments of executive pay relative to financial performance and shareholder returns. Associates quickly collect, clean and verify compensation and financial data, use proprietary models and Microsoft Excel, investigate inconsistencies, and prepare preliminary pay-for-performance assessments under analyst supervision.

Executive Compensation
The Executive Compensation team evaluates executive pay levels, incentive program design, performance conditions and the quality of company disclosures. Associates research compensation practices, draft preliminary analysis and help develop voting recommendations on say-on-pay and compensation-related proposals under analyst supervision, applying Glass Lewis guidelines to each company’s circumstances.
What you bring
  • A bachelor’s degree.
  • Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to interpret complex information and explain conclusions clearly.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English, including strong writing and editing skills.
  • Computer proficiency and comfort with basic math and numerical data. Microsoft Excel proficiency is preferred for Quantitative Research assignments.
  • Careful attention to detail and the ability to process information accurately and efficiently.
  • Effective time management, organization and communication skills in both in-person and remote settings.
  • Willingness to learn, apply feedback, adapt to changing priorities and meet overlapping deadlines.
Manila role requirements

Your day to day
  • Review proxy statements, annual reports and other public filings to identify and interpret relevant compensation and financial information.
  • Collect, enter and verify data using proprietary research tools and, where applicable, Microsoft Excel; flag inconsistencies and questions for review.
  • Apply Glass Lewis methodologies and guidelines to prepare preliminary assessments and draft analysis under the supervision of experienced analysts.
  • Review peers’ data and written work as assigned, and incorporate feedback to improve accuracy and clarity.
  • Track assignments and communicate with colleagues in Manila, North America and other offices to meet research deadlines.
Training and work arrangements
Incoming associates receive comprehensive paid training in research methods, corporate governance and executive remuneration. Training may require onsite attendance for the duration of the training period, generally up to one month. A reliable internet connection of at least 100 Mbps is required for remote work.

What we offer
A competitive compensation package, including overtime pay as necessary; day shift with hybrid work setup; comprehensive training; and the opportunity to work with a multicultural team of colleagues from around the world.
