The Tech Catalyst Engineer contributes to the design, development, testing, deployment, and support of technology solutions that address business and customer needs. Working as part of an Agile engineering team, the role applies modern engineering practices, cloud technologies, and emerging AI capabilities to deliver scalable applications and business solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, implement, and support software applications and technology solutions.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle using Agile and modern engineering practices.
- Develop and maintain cloud-based applications, APIs, and other digital solutions.
- Apply AI-enabled tools and emerging technologies to improve development efficiency and business outcomes.
- Collaborate with product, data, design, and technology partners to deliver business value.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Continuously develop technical expertise and remain current on industry trends, technologies, and engineering practices.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Foundational knowledge of software development principles and programming concepts.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred
- Exposure to cloud technologies, software development frameworks, APIs, AI/ML concepts, and Agile methodologies.
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
