About the team

You'll be joining a small team of very experienced designers who are passionate about their craft, produce high-quality work, and are genuinely eager to share their knowledge and mentor you. We own Syncron's Design System and are focused on enabling our Product Designers to work efficiently. We believe in supporting each other's growth, value continuous learning, and are open to exploring new tools and methods to improve our work. We're based in Warsaw and Stockholm and collaborate closely.

About the role

You'll play an important part in our work building and maintaining Syncron's Design System – the collection of design components and usage patterns that our Product Designers use to create consistent web applications.

You'll get to learn how a design system works from the inside, contributing to Figma components and helping with documentation. We’re looking for someone familiar with the concept of design systems and keen to gain hands-on experience in creating and maintaining one. If you're eager to learn about visual design for complex applications, this is a great place to start.

What would you do?

  • Contribute to the design and refinement of UI components in Figma.

  • Assist in creating and maintaining documentation for our Design System.

  • Support the Core Design team in evolving and advocating for the Design System.

  • Collaborate with other designers and learn from their experience.

  • Help ensure our design output meets user needs and brand standards.

Who you are? / What we expect:

  • A genuine desire to learn and grow – this is key for us!

  • A good skill-level in Figma.

  • An interest in design systems and a willingness to learn how to build and maintain one.

  • A basic understanding of accessibility principles.

  • Good communication and collaboration skills; good English language skills are important.

  • An eye for detail and a passion for visual design.

  • Your portfolio should give us a sense of your design skills and process. If you have any experience with UI elements or an interest in design systems, please highlight it.

What your first year could look like:

We understand that getting to grips with a complex Design System and our web applications takes time. We’re committed to supporting your development every step of the way. Here’s a possible journey:

0–3 months: Settle In & Learn

  • Get to know the team, our tools (Figma, Zeroheight), and our Design System fundamentals.

  • With close guidance, start designing/refining small UI components and assisting with documentation.

3–6 months: Start Contributing

  • Independently design and document a wider range of UI components with ongoing mentorship.

  • Actively participate in team discussions and begin supporting Product Designers with Design System queries

6–12 months: Grow & Expand

  • Confidently manage the design and documentation for new components with greater autonomy.

  • Collaborate effectively with Product Designers and contribute ideas for improving the Design System.

We offer:

  • Environment facilitating professional growth 🚀

  • Respectful and friendly work environment

  • Internal training sessions, external conferences and training options

  • Free English & Swedish classes

  • Fringe benefits (private medical care, multisport card, life insurance)

  • Flexible model of work, working hours and no micromanagement

  • We do respect one another, and we do enjoy working together – we play pool and board games (mostly online these days), organize charity activities - to name just a few😊

Unsure if you meet all the job requirements but passionate about the role? Apply anyway! Syncron values diversity and welcomes all Candidates, even those with non-traditional backgrounds. We believe in transferable skills and a shared passion for success!
