Company Description: CRS Central, a brand owned and operated by CRS Chauhan Private Limited, is a hotel revenue management consultancy supporting independent hotels and hospitality businesses, with a focus on Southeast Asia. We work with hotel owners and management teams to strengthen commercial performance through effective revenue management, online distribution, pricing strategy, rate parity, reservations support and direct-booking initiatives. Our objective is to help hotels improve revenue quality, increase profitability and build sustainable business performance.
Role Description: The Assistant Hotel Revenue Manager will support the day-to-day revenue management and online distribution activities of CRS Central’s hotel portfolio. The role requires a hands-on professional who understands hotel room inventory, pricing, reservations and online travel agency (OTA) platforms. The successful candidate will monitor rates and availability, maintain accurate listings, review market and competitor information, conduct online revenue audits, identify distribution issues and ensure that agreed actions are completed within deadlines.
The position will initially support approximately 4-6 hotels. The candidate must be organised, analytical, detail-oriented and comfortable working independently in a remote environment while maintaining clear communication and timely reporting to the CRS Central management team.
Key Responsibilities
Hotel Revenue Management & Pricing
- Monitor room rates, occupancy, room availability and booking pace across the assigned hotel portfolio.
- Assist in implementing daily, weekly and seasonal pricing strategies in line with demand, market conditions, competitor positioning and each hotel’s business objectives.
- Review weekday, weekend, holiday, event-period and seasonal pricing to identify opportunities for rate optimisation.
- Track ADR, occupancy and RevPAR, and highlight unusual movements, pricing gaps or revenue opportunities.
- Recommend rate adjustments and promotional actions based on market demand, booking trends and competitor activity.
- Ensure that pricing decisions are commercially sensible and support revenue and profitability rather than occupancy alone.
OTA Management & Online Distribution
- Manage and maintain hotel listings and rate/inventory information across OTA platforms, including Booking.com, Agoda, Expedia, MakeMyTrip, Goibibo, Trip.com and Traveloka, as applicable to each property.
- Update room rates, availability, restrictions, minimum-stay requirements, stop-sell instructions, promotions and other distribution settings accurately and on time.
- Review room types, descriptions, amenities, photographs, policies, taxes, inclusions and other listing content for accuracy and completeness.
- Identify missing information, incorrect room mapping, duplicate listings, closed-out inventory and other issues that may affect visibility or conversion.
- Coordinate with hotel teams and platform support where corrections, listing improvements or account-level assistance are required.
- Monitor OTA production and booking trends and identify opportunities to improve channel contribution and distribution effectiveness.
Hotel Revenue Audits & Online Presence Reviews
- Conduct structured revenue and online distribution audits for hotels assigned by CRS Central.
- Review each hotel’s presence across relevant OTAs and identify active, inactive, missing or under-optimised channels.
- Compare room types, rates, availability, inclusions, cancellation policies and restrictions across channels.
- Check Google Hotel Search and other available metasearch placements for rate consistency and potential undercutting.
- Review rate parity issues, third-party discounts, unexplained price differences and discrepancies between the official website and OTA channels.
- Assess listing quality, content accuracy, photographs, review scores and overall online presentation.
- Prepare clear audit findings, highlighting issues, commercial impact, recommended corrective actions and priorities.
Rate Parity & Distribution Control
- Carry out regular rate checks across the hotel’s direct channel and key third-party distribution platforms.
- Investigate rate differences and potential undercutting, including cases where rates may be affected by mobile, member, package or closed-user-group offers.
- Escalate suspected parity breaches and document the channel, room type, date, rate and evidence required for follow-up.
- Check that rate plans, occupancy settings, taxes, meal plans and cancellation conditions are aligned correctly wherever intended.
- Support the team in reducing distribution discrepancies and maintaining consistent, commercially appropriate pricing.
Reservations & Booking Monitoring
- Monitor reservations received through online channels and review booking details for accuracy where access and procedures permit.
- Check reservation dates, room categories, guest counts, rates, meal plans, special requests and cancellation conditions.
- Coordinate with hotel reservations teams to clarify discrepancies, booking amendments, cancellations and inventory-related concerns.
- Monitor booking pickup and cancellation patterns and flag unusual activity or potential risks.
- Support the review of reservation processes and identify opportunities to improve response time, conversion and booking accuracy.
Reporting, Analysis & Performance Tracking
- Maintain daily trackers for rate checks, OTA updates, audit progress, pending actions and completed work.
- Prepare regular hotel-wise updates covering pricing changes, parity observations, distribution issues and key findings.
- Track agreed KPIs and deadlines and provide accurate, timely reports to CRS Central management.
- Maintain supporting evidence such as screenshots, comparison records and audit notes in an organised manner.
- Highlight urgent issues immediately rather than waiting for the next scheduled report.
- Use spreadsheets and other approved tools to organise data, identify trends and communicate findings clearly.
Client & Internal Coordination
- Communicate professionally with hotel representatives and internal team members regarding assigned tasks and follow-ups.
- Seek clarification when hotel information, pricing instructions or operational details are incomplete.
- Follow up on pending actions and ensure that agreed deliverables are completed within the required timelines.
- Maintain confidentiality of hotel information, commercial data, login credentials and client communications.
- Represent CRS Central professionally in all written and verbal communication.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in hotel revenue management, OTA management and/or reservations.
- Practical working knowledge of hotel room inventory, rate plans, availability, restrictions and distribution processes.
- Hands-on experience with OTA extranet platforms such as Booking.com, Agoda, Expedia, MakeMyTrip, Goibibo, Trip.com and Traveloka.
- Good understanding of hotel pricing concepts and key performance indicators, including ADR, occupancy and RevPAR.
- Experience in checking rate parity, competitor pricing and online hotel presence will be an advantage.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets; confidence in maintaining trackers and preparing reports.
- Good written and spoken communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with hotel teams.
- A diploma or degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, Tourism, Business or a related field is preferred; relevant practical experience will also be considered.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Accuracy and timeliness of OTA rate, inventory, restriction and content updates.
- Completion of assigned daily checks, hotel audits and reporting within agreed deadlines.
- Quality and completeness of revenue audit findings and recommendations.
- Timely identification and escalation of rate parity and distribution discrepancies.
- Consistency and accuracy of daily trackers and hotel-wise performance reports.
- Effective follow-up and closure of pending tasks with hotel teams and platform partners.
- Professional communication, reliability, ownership and adherence to CRS Central processes.
Work Arrangement & Requirements
- This is a full-time work-from-home position.
- Working hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, six days per week.
- The candidate must have their own laptop or computer suitable for daily professional work.
- A stable, reliable high-speed internet connection is mandatory.
- The candidate must be reachable during working hours and attend online meetings or review calls as required.
- The role requires disciplined time management, regular progress updates and the ability to work independently without continuous supervision.
- Initial responsibility will cover approximately 4-6 hotels, with workload and portfolio allocation guided by business requirements.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, pays close attention to detail and understands that small errors in hotel rates, inventory or distribution can have a direct commercial impact. The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, analytical and comfortable working with multiple hotels and online platforms. They should be able to identify a problem, document it clearly, recommend a practical solution and follow through until the task is closed.
Compensation
Monthly salary: ₹25,000.
Candidates should apply only if they meet the experience requirements and are comfortable with the stated work-from-home arrangement, working schedule and equipment requirements.
